-Janet's POVChristmas has passed and I didn't do anything for it because even though my family has converted from Jehovah's Witnesses, we still follow all of their traditions. I just choose to not identify with it so Christmas isn't something that we celebrate in the Jackson family. I told Prince this but he still bought me a diamond necklace. I wasn't going to say anything because it was actually truly beautiful the way he did it, over dinner. It was the necklace that I thought would go with this blue skirt that I have. He knew I didn't want a Christmas gift so he just said that it was an everyday gift and I found it quite adorable. He knew I wasn't going to decline either way.
Right now, we are in the living room, at Paisley Park, and I'm eating as much junk food as I could find in the kitchen pantry. I am extremely tired from that dance class that I just taught Uptown and I look and feel like shit but I won't try to make it evident. I wasn't just working those dancers but I was also really working myself but in the end we all enjoyed it. It was truly a great time.
After the class was over, Prince was waiting outside for me. He picked me up and brought me to Paisley Park. That was when I took out all of the cookies, brownies, chips, and any other sweets that I could find, sat next to him on the coach, muted the tv and turned to him. "So, tell me about yourself." I ask as I reach for another Oreo.
Prince let's out a deep laugh. "I already have, remember?" He responds.
"No. You have told me about things that have happened to you but you never told me about you, personally. What is your personality like or something to that nature?" I retort while scraping off the nasty white cream from the cookie and placing it on the napkin.
"Why don't you eat the whole cookie like a normal person?" Prince asks with a slight laugh directed towards my weird actions, trying to avoid my question.
I just shrug. "Because it taste like salt to me. You still didn't answer my question, though." I say before taking a bite of the plain Oreo cookie.
He looks at me with a questioning look. I am pretty sure he thinks I'm crazy with an eating problem and is probably wondering what the hell he got himself into. "Well, I don't know." He continues. I know we met only a little while ago but I feel like I can decipher his personality, spot on. "I guess I am quiet and shy. What do you think?" He questions me.
I shrug again. "I would say all of that, plus bold, when you want to be, yet very mysterious." I say while closing up the box of Oreos.
Prince chuckles at my words. "What about your self?" He asks.
"That's easy. I am laid back, calm, fun, easy-going but too open with the wrong people." I quickly say
