"THAT'S LIFE"

There comes a time in your life,
When you don't want to say goodbye
Take a deep breath and let out a good cry
I will always love you
That's no lie
This is not me giving up
It's just something I need to do
What life might have been like with you
You probably make us say grace
Light a candle and tell us to pray
Bet you would have never raised a hand to us
Always giving us unconditional love
You'd be the one I confide in
And answer all my constant questions,
But none of this happened
That's life
I know you wanted to be more than just a wife
This wasn't part of your plan
Just understand That's life
So Mom,
May the sun shine on you oh, so bright
May the wind comfort you when you cry
May the moon and stars guide you every night
Think of me on my birthday and smile
Think of your daughter's love, and
Remember to thank the man above
