A/N Hey everyone! So this is actually a scene I wrote for this other book I'm writing (it's a Lauren/you pirate-themed story, in case you didn't pick up on that). I've been occasionally writing some parts over the past few years, but haven't finished yet. I just decided that I'm going to post this one scene and see if anybody likes it enough to be a whole book. If you want more to see if you'd like it then I can post the first chapter, but I cannot promise to post that often as I am currently writing another book.

So I'd really appreciate y'all's feedback! Thank you for reading! Enjoy!
xoxo ~K

I knew this was going to be the last time I ever saw Lauren. I was leaving, going onto another ship where they won't treat me half as well as she had. Lauren did everything in her power to keep me safe from the other pirates. There was some pain every now and then, but nothing I couldn't handle. Lauren had become the person in my life that provided me warmth, security and love. She had managed to fix me after I completely broke, into something improved. Lauren worked her way into my life and became everything I needed and more.

She had successfully filled the emptiness in my heart.

"So, tis be it, eh?" Lauren somber asked.

I nodded my head slowly, "Yeah," I muttered, containing the sadness.

"Ah," she nodded. Lauren stood in front of me stiffly, protruding an awkward aura. "Ye're fun while ye lasted," she said as a goodbye.

I smiled to myself, engraving her last words into my memory to carry with me forever. Her casualness as she says offensive statements will always bring a smile to my face, because she never means it. Knowing what Lauren meant by it, I agreed, "Yeah... You were too."

I held eye contact with her for a few more silent seconds, before I decided to look away and head for the door. If I looked at her any longer, I would get lost in her tenerife eyes and stay with her forever. But I can't do that, it'll put her life on the line, and I couldn't do that to the woman I love.

Placing my hands on the doorknob, I quickly thought back to the night we had almost kissed. How she held my trembling body in her calm, warm arms; how one look from her soothed all hectic thoughts shooting through my mind; how she quickly glanced at my lips, making my whole body shudder; how she ignored her desire to just hold me for the rest of the night. The thought made me wonder about what it would feel like if our lips were pressed together and how hers would taste. I glanced back at Lauren, seeing her standing in the same place as she watched me leave.

Realizing this is the last time we'll ever be together again, I decided to do it. I have nothing left to lose, so I mustered up a surge of confidence, and went for it.

I fast-walked back to Lauren, her breathtaking eyes brightening up for a split second, before I grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her towards me. I desperately connected our lips in a slow yet passionate kiss.

My knees immediately went weak and every inch of my body tingled in delight. My heart was rapidly beating in my chest, thudding so hard that Lauren could feel it as our bodies were mushed together. My stomach did flips, sending all of the butterflies into a frenzy.

I couldn't believe it; Lauren's soft, plump, amazing lips were finally on mine, moving in sync together as my breath escaped my lungs. Her hands found their way to my waist, sending electricity through my body. The slightest touch sent my emotions into overdrive, and they completely overwhelmed me. But no matter how crazy my body reacted to Lauren, I love every single second of it.

After a few seconds, I reluctantly pulled away, and my body instantly craved for more. Our breaths mingled together as I stayed close enough for her to hear me whisper, "Goodbye, Lauren." I let go of the love of my life and walked out the door, not looking back this time. If I locked gazes with her again, I know I would burst out into tears, no matter how tough I trained myself to be.

I headed towards the beach, where I'll be traded to another ship of pirates. I know that this ship will be completely different; no one will treat me the way Lauren had. I won't be protected or taken care of, but rather be treated as an actual slave this time. There's no escaping it; this is my fate.

I just have to deal with it.
