When you think of a typical Friday night, you think of going out with friends to have some enjoyment and let the struggles of finals week slip away to the sounds of a movie playing in a dark theater with no noise except the crunch of popcorn. But does Clare get the enjoyment of that? Knowing her luck. Of course she doesn't. Not even two minutes after buying her and her 'friend's' ticket. She gets a call from her which mostly consisted of her whining about her newest hookup on the football team looking at another girl... Typical Kelsey. Clare though while chucking in her mind. Either way, This left the long hair brunette inside the movie theater looking out a window at the ticket stand outside.

To be fair, it was a good sunset. The sun was just now setting on the tree line directly across the road from the small theater. Clare would have stayed like that if she didn't notice a girl with sun blonde hair, calm green eyes, wearing a white tank top, pale blue booty shorts, and a pair of sandy collard sandals. The girl seemed distraught, her hands were fidgeting and it looked like she wanted to be anywhere but in the front line with the middle aged man that looked like he just got out of prison for having such a horrid appearance. Taking pity on the girl she walked back out the door briskly walked out to her and went to the girls side. "No... Sir i just need a ticket to Cyber Wars 2"

"Ahh c'mon pretty lady..." the man said with a snarl that reeked of beer "I can give you a better time than any movie... You need a real man." Clare quickly realized why the poor girl was so out of place and quickly put her arm around her shoulders. "Um, Sorry Jim, she's with me." Clare looked at the girl and almost gasped at how beautiful she was. She wore minimal makeup and her skin had a tan which seemed to glow. Her eyes were like looking into a peaceful forest right after a night of storms. Realizing that she was staring she smiled and shook her head while looking at her in the eye. "Well babe cmon let's go." As Clare was steering the about to be eye-rape victim of a man, Jim just had to call back.

"Lyin, She don't got no ticket."

Holding up her spare ticket she turned around and smiled at Jim. "Now she does, creep" Jim looked immediately deflated, and went back to work, and luckily there weren't any other poor women outside for him to prey his greesy eyes on.

After getting the girl inside safely she immediately let her arm go down and smiled while handing the shaken girl a ticket. "I'm sorry about that, Jim is known for being a creep and i just wanted to make sure you got to your movie safely, My name is Clare by the way." The girl smiled and extended her hand. "Im Alex, and it's fine, thanks for steering me out of there" Alex said with a small smile. Oh shit she's really cute when she smiles, wait what? Clare stop you don't even know her. "It was nice to have a knight in.... A leather jacket a green day shirt and black jeans." she said and clare started to laugh and did a mock bow. "Well, would you like an escort to your showing madam?" Clare said while outreaching her hand with her palm up and open like she was offering her to dance. Alex blushed furiously and put her hand in Clares and said with a slight stutter. "Y-ya I'd love to have a hot date." Now it was Claire's turn to blush as Alex looked absolutely mortified. "I didn't... know like you are." Clare just laughed "It's fine cutie, and not that i'm complaining but were holding hands. "Oh I--"

"No it's okay... I like it, This could be a first date." Alex laughed a bit at that "Well whatever this is, I'm glad you showed up. I was gonna go on a blind date but the girl never showed." Alex said with a smile "I feel you, my best friend ditched me because she needs to 'win a boy' as she phrased it." Alex laughed again and it was like pure music to Claire's ears as she started walking with Alex to their movie. Okay shes really fucking cute.... Clare thought. Neither of them stopped holding hands as they walked up the stars to seats in the very back of the theater hall. And they didn't stop until the opening commercials started and Alex excused herself to get drinks and popcorn for the two of them, and stubbornly wouldn't let Clare pay "No, you already paid for my ticket. I can buy you a popcorn and soda, think of it as payment for being my knight." Clare couldn't say anything as she was too busy fumbling her words as Alex walked out.

Alex returned immediately as the movie began and sat in the same spot and put the popcorn unceremoniously on Clares lap.Clare looked at her with a raised eyebrow and Alex looked right back. "I said i would pay, i didn't say I would hold it." Clare laughed and before she could say a rebuttal, and elderly couple sitting directly in front of the dou, shushed them. Looking away from each other the two began to watch the movie in silence.

After the death of Captain Kennin Clare looked over to see Alex silently crying while her eyes were glued on the movie. Quietly and carefully, Alex put up the armrest separating them and held out her arm and Alex immediately snuggled up into Claire, her head resting above her breasts and below clarks next her arms holding themselves together and clare put her arm over hers and without saying a single word to each other, held her hand. Clare couldn't see her reaction, but hopefully she was also blushing because Clare was as red as a ketchup bottle. The rest of the movie went on like this and Clare found herself to be petting Alex's head and playing with her hair as her other hand still held Alex's hand.

The movie ended an hour later, and as the lights came on Clare found out that Alex fell asleep on her. Smiling she shook Alex a bit while still petting her head. "Wake up sleepy head." She quietly said. Alex woke up, and after realizing she was lying on Clare froze before relaxing again. "Did I miss the movie?" she asked with a yawn. "Not really, nothing happened after you fell asleep." Alex nodded and stood up and started walking out of the theater, with Clare on her toes.

The two stopped once they were outside and Alex started to shiver. Clare bit her lip as she took off her jacket and put it on the freezing girl's shoulder. "Can I have your number?" Clare said. Alex then started blushing, not from the cold this time as she put her name into Clare's phone and Clare put her name into Alex's phone. "Call me... I wouldn't mind getting to know my knight more." Clare laughed and squeezed Alex's hand. "I would love that." Alex looked behind as a car pulled up. "Well that's my ride, I'll see you around Clare"

Clare smiled "I'll see you around to, Alex"

And with that the two parted ways, one more flustered than the other. And the other suddenly very happy that their friend canceled.
