Rebel Lies

Prologue

I swallowed. Having this position only makes it harder for me to survive this place. No, I can't back up now...I have survived training for the past 16 years of my life . I have lived with these people since I was born. If there was anyone that knew all their secrets it was me. I had a knack for puzzling out secrets and mysteries. And another knack for hiding mine. They were my family, friends ,and my enemies if I step out of line.

Yet I wouldn't trade them for the world. literally. Especially the kingdom. The monarchy here is a cruel system. Everyone thinks they are so innocent and sweet, but it's only until you get inside them that you find their secrets. Them and their whole family are a group of devils. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I didn't agree with our independence from Europe... if you look at a map now you'll see us a small kingdom in them middle of all of Europe. But it's the monarchy I detest. They have taken all my closest friends that I had in this place. All at eighteen, they were taken one by one. It was a system that promoted the common people and gave them some power, well that's what the king says. But I haven't seen my friends since

Don't take all the technology and "education" as a scale. It's all probably borrowed from the rest of Europe. Just another example of how the monarchy is just a big system of liars. They change the positions of the kings every 4 years, since our independence in 2020. It's only been a few decades since then but we have seen three different kings and queens. So they wouldn't be "corrupt" well when it's all one family it doesn't matter now ,does it? Now if I voice my thoughts anywhere but with this big family of mine, then my head would probably be cut off. Those stupid leaders are the reason I can't fully trust anyone here, they have taken the two people I did trust.

the punchbag I was abusing flew off its hinge and hit the wall. I looked at my red knuckles. I was going to make them pay for everything they did and I will bring their demise. After all this is what we are all trained for. A Grin comes across my face. Their end is near. Because I am a Rebel. They took two of us, and they will pay for it. And one way or another I'm going to make them choose me next. I will get my revenge with the new training I get from this. or else my name isn't Athena Devon, even if I'll burn their castle to pieces
