«•The Next Day•»

We exposed them. They did have it coming, thinking they would succeed against a couple of agents. Specially trained agents, that is. Pretending to be asleep, psh, that ain't nothing.

Today is just a normal day like others. We ate and prepared breakfast, we all went for a jog around the area (not that I wanted to or anything), went and ate lunch out, then returned home. Lilac and I are expecting more information today, or further instruction on what we're supposed to do for the time being. Since a day or two ago we were chased, we might have to either change locations or eliminate the closest targets. Usually for long missions, our mission instructor might want us to eliminate the closest people around us that are dangerous; which we might have to do. They do it to make the mission quicker and to avoid running around, making things more difficult.

"Any news?" Lilac asks me, but I shake my head in reply.

It was already past noon and no word.

"I'm anxious."

Lilac pats my back, "Don't worry Caitlyn, there's still plenty of time," then leaves my room and goes to hers.

Lilac was always so calm and collected. I, on the other hand, need things fast and easy otherwise I would have a meltdown. If things are easy, the job gets done faster and I earn money quicker. Yes, us agents get payed for being agents; plus, bonus spy stuff to keep. The government pays the organisation and the organisation pays us. Isn't it always like that in the economy?

"Knock, knock," I hear a deep voice say, this voice belongs to Ethan, "Can I come in?"

I turn my head, "Yes, of course."

Ethan's perfect self walks in and I feel my worries wash away. Not completely, but still away enough to be calm. He decides to sit himself at my bed; I'm sitting at my desk.

"How's it going?" Ethan asks, smiling.

I sigh heartily, "It's making me curious, but other than that, today seems great so far. How about yourself?"

"I agree with you, today is great so far."

"What brings you to my room today?"

"Came in to check up on you. Lilac left the room, Grayson was talking to her, then I overheard that you seemed stress. So, here I am to check up on you and hopefully make you feel better."

I giggle, "Thank you Ethan. Speaking of Lilac and Grayson, they seem to be getting along really well."

Ethan shushes me, putting a finger to his lips.

"Careful, they might be saying the exact same thing about us now."

We both laugh and suddenly an emergency alert goes off. My face goes blank as I read the warning off my computer screen.

"Weaponised people are in this building, we have to get both of you out now!"

This was in Caitlyn's POV.
