Chapter 5: The Sparing

Okay some of you people may have notced published a part called Prolouge.... you may be wondering when we are 4 chapers in I would puplish it now. Well cause I found it in my notebook and I though it was nice sounding ... so go read it... it ain't imporant though. Read if you want.... well to the chapter!!!

     I kick the dummy in the side of its face. I almost hit Lav in her face too. Sence she is holding up the dummy. "This is helping isn't Lav... no matter how fast I get with these attacks I won't be able to do it." I said while leaning up  against the dummy.

     "Yes you can... you did it with the eight cops who where a hell a lot farther away." She states as she gets really close to my face with a smirk. I go red and push of the dummy to get away.

     "Yeah but I used my magic to push myself around so I can get there faster... I think I don't remember a lot just me moving fast." I start to trail off.

     "I never said you couldn't use magic..." she said being  dissapointed that I pushed away.

     "You said I could but, I can't use my magic properly. Most I can do is lift a canddle for like 10 seconds," I complain to her. She smiles and thinks for a second before she walks up to me staying a good distance away.

     "I could show you how to do it... with my magic," she says holding my shoulder. I smile at her and nod. She walks into the circle. I start to count down. She dosen't get into an fighter stance or anything just stands there. I say go and she moves her leg to the left and rocks follow as she lifts up her leg. It turns into a spike at the end and then she starts to twirl and then when she takes them all down she jumps in the air and splams the spike in to the middle stands there like a badass. I look at her smashed the rocks back to make the ground to refil the holes she made. See walks over to me and smiles and tilts her head. "That is how you do it." She says.

     "Well if you taught me how to use my magic I could do it." I say trying to convice her. So Lav has the earth element.... huh

      "As you saw I am earth... I don't know how to teach you..." she sees me look disappointed, "B-but I could at least try." She says with a sigh and I start to jump around. She smiles and we walk over to her padio table.

      We sit down and she holds out her hand as if it was C but the fingers were spread apart. She tells me to do the same, "Imagine your hand being covered in wind and then close it... and then try to make it a vortex" she says.

I hold out my hand in the same shape and after a few seconds. There is wind around each finger, thumb and plus my palm. I ball my hand into a fist and becomes a vortex of wind around my hand. Lav uses rocks in the same way to make a rock glove.

      "Punch my hand with your vortex." She exlaims, holding her fist out. I don't even get close, before it starts ripping up the glove and causing rocks to fly everywhere. I stopped. I was afraid I will hurt her if I even touch her skin. I open my hand and all the wind dissapears. She opens her hand causing all the rock to go back into the ground.

      She gets up and walks over to the wooden weapon rack. She picks up a wooden long sword and motions for me to pick one. I walk over and grab the wooden scythe. "So we are going to spare... do you know how to use that thing?" She ask and I nod and swung it around and twirl it. She smiles and we stand a good distance apart. She holds hers up at diagonally and a slight angle to the right, with both hands on the hilt. Well I hold the very end of the shaft at my side.

     "You are suppose to keep your weapon up or they will kill you." She says but I keep my stance firm, "Guess I will have to show you what I mean." She says and then charges at me. She goes for a swing but before she hits, I pull up the shaft and put my hand more near the wooden blade. She keeps pushing I get the wooden blade behind her and then I pull up using the force that she has been using to try to attack me. I pull up and she falls back words and the weapon fell to her side. I swirl the sythe and hold it up to her neck.
