Dream Realm

Five years old you

"(F/N) will you come out of hiding, I give up. You're the ultimate hide in seek champion," my mom is trying to convince me to come out but  I think I'll hide a little longer. 

I giggle to myself, 'this is fun'.

"You have a beautiful laugh you know?"

I turn around to find the source but you find no one. 

"Where are you mister?" I ask.

A gust of wind pushes through my hair and leaves begin to swirl around me. I smile and spin around with the leaves. 

"Where and who I am does not matter, what does matter is that one day when you come of age you will be very important."

I was about to ask him what he meant when I felt arms wrap around me.

"There you are darling," my mom picks me up and carries me back home. 

"Mom, someone told me I'm special."

"Well, you are special my dear."

I look up into her eyes but all I saw were empty sockets. 

I began to scream and the thing that looked like my mother drops me. 

"Once you are of age no one will protect you. You will be consumed by the flames. It will be your choice if you choose to embrace them or die."

The beautiful world around me turned into a hellish place. The trees were set ablaze and the sky went red. 

I start running and running until I reach what seems to be the edge of a cliff. I turn around and all I see is fire.

"CHOOSE"

The ground began to break apart and I fall off the cliff, plunging into darkness. 

Real World

Rin's POV

I wake to hear (F/N)'s screaming. I grab Kurikara and race to her side. 

Once I enter her room, I see her shaking and screaming in her sleep. 

I rush to her side and start to hold her.

"(F/N) wake up it's just a dream. I'm right here for you." 

Once I pull her into a hug, she stops moving. Her breathing slows down and her heart rate slows down. I look at her face to see her beautiful (eye color) open her eyes. 

At first, she begins to fight again but once she sees my face she calms done. 

"Rin," her voice is a whisper

"I'm here. I'm right here for you."

Tears begin to form in her eyes and she just holds me. 

After a good five minutes, (f/N) begins to go quite. 

I look at her and sure enough, she's asleep in my arms. At this moment I realize that she's only wearing a tank that is very revealing and really short shorts. I can feel my ears getting hot and decide it would be best for me to leave before she wakes up, so it won't be awkward. 

Just as I'm about to leave, her arms wrap around me even tighter and I can't escape her death grip. Not wanting to wake her up, I just climb into bed with her and hold her tight. 

"Good Night (F/N)."

The Next Day: Your POV

I wake up to feel even more comfortable than usual. I squeeze something next to me. 

This is an extremely nice body pillow. Wait a minute, I DON'T HAVE A BODY PILLOW.

I open my eyes and see that thing I thought was a body pillow was actually Rin. 

His eyes are still closed and his breathing is very slow. However, things are even weirder when I look and see that he's shirtless. A blush begins to spread across my face and I freeze. Since I'm in this position I decide to take advantage of the situation. I take my hand and begin to slowly play with his hair. 

Wow, he actually has a cute face. 

I begin to inch my face closer to his to observe his fangs. I'm only a few centimeters to his lips when his eyes shoot open. 

I begin to scream and I kick him out of the bed. He lands flat on his face and begins to groan. A even bigger blush begins to spread across my face. 

Realizing what I just did I rush to Rin's side. 

All POV

"Rin, Rin speak to me. Are you okay?"

He mumbles and I couldn't understand him.

I lift him up and lay his head on my lap.

"Rin?"

His deep blue eyes stare up at me. 

I start to stroke his cheek to make sure he's still with me. 

He continues to look up at me and smiles. 

"Glad to see that you're okay," he says.

I smile at him, "Thanks for looking out for me."

We both just smile at each other but then Rin starts to blush. 

That's when I realize that I'm still in my tank and shorts. 

"Well now that I know your okay, why don't we go and get breakfast?"

I quickly get up and Rin's head hits the floor hard, "OW."

"Sorry," I reply; I grabbed his hand. 

"See you downstairs," I rush him out the door and close it."

Well, that was awkward but nice, I thought. 

On the other side of the door Rin just smiled to himself and got ready for breakfast.
