Silly me published the first chapter without properly editing it. I decided to rewrite the whole thing: changing the point of view and narrative, adding some more stuff, deleting other things. You get it.
I'll leave this up until the rewritten version is done. Then I'll delete this with the new version in its place. I hope you enjoy the new version more.
