"Hello Addie, I hear you're here because you think you're pregnant?" Doctor smith asks me as she walks into the room with a clipboard. "Yeah, I took three home pregnancy tests and they all came back positive." I answer her, as I sit on the cold metal table in nothing but a gown.
"Okay, when do you believe you may have conceived?" she asks as she slips rubber gloves on. "Only like a week ago. My period was due four days ago and it never came, it's always on time." I tell her.
"Okay, well I'm going to have you lay back and spread your legs. I'm going to have to do a vaginal ultrasound since it's so early, to see if you are indeed pregnant." Doctor Smith says, as she grabs an ultrasound wand and some lube. "This is going to feel uncomfortable, but try to stay still please" she says.
I cringe as she inserts the wand, shivering at the foreign feeling. "Okay, I want you to take a look at the monitor. It doesn't look like much right now, but congratulations Miss Rivers, you are indeed pregnant. One week today." she says with a smile.
I stare at the screen in awe. It looks like an empty space, but I know that my baby is there and it brings tears to my eyes. "Would you like me to print off a picture?" she asks as she removes the wand from my vagina. I nod and she takes off her rubber gloves and then leaves the room.
When she comes back she hands me the ultrasound picture.

"Okay, now I'm going to need to see you again in two months. It's now June 7th, so I need you to come back here on August 7th. I'll schedule it now. What time works for you?" She asks. "Do you have an opening for like 9am?" I question. "Yes I do. I'll see you then!" Doctor Smith says.
I thank her and then grab my purse and stick the ultrasound picture in it, before leaving the office and heading to the studio for my photoshoot.
*After photoshoot*
"Okay Adalynne, we're done. You did great, thank you for coming and modeling for us!" The photographer says as he finishes taking the last picture of the day. "It was no problem, thanks for having me!" I respond with a smile.
