The Clan's Prophecy

chapter 2

why did I care so much? oh yeah, because even though I don't love him...I needed him. I felt like my heart was ripped in to, and someone else had the other half. they just wouldn't give it back. I know he was feeling the same way, but the Alpha's son was strong emotionally. Ever since his mother died...my phone buzzed once again and I sighed, picking it up.

"jared just stop calling me, I get it you fuckin-"

"Miss Vander, you shouldn't speak of my son so crudely. considering he's your mate."

"Alpha?" I said, growing pale.

"Aurora you must come back, my son has been forced to break up with his partner. you are to take her place."

"but sir, he rejected me."

"that doesn't have any value." He said with a growl.

"there are troops out side the airport." He said calming his voice now. I looked past the crowds and saw three men and a redheaded girl all wearing sunglasses out side the window. I heaved a sigh and walked in their direction.

"fine." I said and hung up, not caring if it was a rude goodbye. I met the troops outside and they all wore light brown leather jackets, suited to their size along with black skinny jeans and tan army boots. they did say a word, just led me to the car. the only reason they went this far to getting me back was because it was Alpha's son. if I was anyone else's mate they would have let it go. we rode back to the high school and alpha and his son stood on the field alone. I got out and Jared sighed in some sort of relief. what the fuck? I thought he wanted me to leave. I walked forward and so did he, embracing me in a hug.

"Dont touch me!" I growled and pushed him off angrily, my wolf pulsing in rage. it sent him back a few steps. I told you i was strong.

"Im sorry... for my behavior..." He said and clenched his jaw.

"What? what did they do to you?" I asked scoffing, not buying his new friendly approach. I mean yeah it felt so good to finally be accept by someone who was suppose  to be my mate but that didn't mean I particularly liked him. nor would I give him a hug.

"nothing..me and my girlfriend...broke up."

"I know didn't they force you two t-" alpha loudly cleared his throat and glared at me. Oh. I know what happened, they lied to him. probably said that his girlfriend did something to make them break up. of course, this all made sense now.

"You two should spend some time together." alpha said, and he walked off with his troops. Jared walked forward and spared a weak smile.

"look, your an asshole who I hate so how about we just ignore each other till your 35 and then we can have a kid. just stay out of my life." I said, walking away but he ran after me, cutting in front of me.

"we can't be friends?" He asked with a smirk.

"Do you not remember embarassing me in front of the whole pack? did that just slip your mind?"I growled and his reaction was as if I slapped that smirk off his face.

"No. I think about it everyday. I'm sorry for doing that, it hurts so much when your not with me." He said, his face grave.

"then I guess your in for a whole life of hurt." I spat, storming off to my dorm.
