As Keith got home he noticed his father laying on the couch with the television on. The room was dark except from the bright screen which cast a light on his father. "hey dad" he didn't get a reply so he slowly walked up to his room still glancing down every few steps. Clearly he wasn't wanted.

He jumped on to his bed and sighed. His phone buzzed giving him a slight fright. He never got texts but he didn't give someone his number at school. Maybe it was the tall boy from his graphics class. Hunk that was his name. He seemed jolly and smart. But obviously he was just being nice to the new boy. He would probably end up hating him in a few days. He picked up his phone and as he guessed it was Hunk.

Hunk: Hi it's me Hunk. I just wanted to see how you were.
Keith: Im alright I guess..

Hunk didn't reply straight away but Keith just assumed he had saw what happened before he left and wanted to see what happened. Honestly he wouldn't be surprised if he was friends with Lance.

Hunk: yeah I saw what happened before school ended. Lance had no right to act like that. You did nothing wrong.

Keith read the text over a few times. Did Lance pick on him too? He had no idea.

Keith: I'm used to it don't worry about me.
Hunk: you should hang out with me tomorrow so you aren't alone and I'll show where everything is. :)
Keith: alright but I have to go. Bye

Keith stood up and grabbed a baggy red hoodie and his headphones. "Dad I'm going out" the door was already closed before he finished speaking. He took his phone out and plugged his headphones in.

The rain was bouncing off of him and the dim street lights were casting dark shadows on everything. This new town was creepy. He had no idea where anything was or where he was going.

He started walking down a darker lane and onto a small street with a few cars. A small house in the corner on the street had a familiar face sitting outside. Keith walked closer to the house. A small tanned and freckled boy ran out shouting "Lance! Lance!" Shit Keith thought. If anyone one saw him in the shadows he didn't know what would happen the next day at school. But yet he didn't move he wanted to find out more about his taunter. "Mom wants you inside now. She said that if you don't come inside you had to stay out. Forever." the small boy laughed but Lance didn't say anything he just let out a small cry. Was Lance crying? He didn't know. A small women carrying two small children walked out and started shouting at him" What have I told you Lance!? You don't care about any of us anymore. You are never home! Probably with your dad. I told you to never speak with him again! I can't believe you Lance! Forget it. Go live with him for all I care" Lance stood up and ran off. He wiped tears from his face. Keith hid further in around the corner so Lance wouldn't see him. But Lance ran right into him. "What are you doing here?" he said angrily wiping the tears off of his face. "I was walking around and I got lost.." Keith stepped away from the boy. "don't tell anyone what you heard or else!" Lance stepped closer to Keith causing him to move back. "I know I shouldn't ask you this but I'm lost and I have no idea how to get back to my house. I just need directions.." Lance stopped him. "I'll take you." he grabbed Keith's wrist and marched him down the narrow street.

"So why did you even move here? It's shit" Lance asked which startled Keith. "Well my dad needed help with something and the closest place to it was here.." he mumbled. "Yeah I'm sorry I was an asshole to you earlier I just wanted to know why you were even looking at me." he laughed slightly. Keith glanced over at him and thought he was clearly the center of attention most of the time. He was pretty and tall so you couldn't help but miss him. Keith's face went a little red but Lance wasn't looking."uh it's okay I guess" he smiled. "were you actually just staring because I know you're looking at me again. It's kind of cute you know. The new artsy boy crushing on the touch boy who plays sports.." Keith stopped him. "what makes you think I have a crush on you?" he laughed. "You are staring at me right now and we're earlier. And I saw you drawing things earlier in class." He nudged Keith causing him to fall slightly. "see falling for me already~" Lance held out his hand to help him up. "I do not have a crush on you.." he went red. Almost as red as the oversized hoodie he had put on earlier. "Knew it~" he smirked.

They walked for a while and spoke a lot. Keith didn't mind this boy. He wasn't anything like what he had thought.

"This is me.." he stepped closer to his door. A angry looking dark haired man stormed out of Keith's house. "hi dad" the man stopped right in front of Keith. "Where the hell were you?!?" he shouted in the boys face. "Of course you were out with another boy. This is why we move so maybe you won't act like this! I can't believe you're my son." he spat on the floor in fount of Keith's feet. Lance looked in shock. "well I guess you've met my dad." he laughed slightly trying to hold back his tears. Lance then jumped on the smaller boy giving him a hug. "I'm so sorry I was a dick to you" he started crying on Keith's shoulder. "I'll try to make it up to you!" he lifted his head up and saw the watery eyes of Keith. Lance pushed Keith's hair out of his eyes. "You can cry if you want to" Keith didn't listen he held back everything. "well I have to go Lance.." he slipped out of the others grasp and walked slowly into the house. "Stay with me!" Lance shouted. Keith turned around. "Like you don't have to stay with him. I have enough space for someone else in my house. We already have five." he laughed. Keith said "I have to stay with him.. If I leave I have to leave for good" he shut the door behind him.

Once Keith had walked back into the house his father screamed and shouted at him. "Again with the boys. Why can't you just get a fucking girlfriend? You're a fucking gay scum bag. I can't believe you turned out like this!" Keith ran upstairs and locked his room door. He also sat behind it crying into his knees.

He had made promises to certain people that he wouldn't cave in and hurt himself again. But this time was different. He had no one. His dad hated him. He was already a no one.

He ran out of his room and into the bathroom scanning the area for anything that would work. He would just be better off dead. Fortunate for him there was. He took his father's razor and broke it. Stomping onto it shattering it into multiple pieces. He picked at the plastic and things keeping the blades together. He had broken it. He sat on the floor crying holding onto them. They were cutting into his hands and he flinched when he saw it. Was he really going to do it again? After the promises he had made?
