Chapter 1: Arrival

-this is my first fanfiction ok?!?! I'm sorry for spelling errors and such-

-I don't own the Maze Runner series all belonging to James Dashner. I only own Liza, and other characters you'll meet later (probably...)-

Darkness, the first thing I see when I open my eyes. I look around me, again all I see is darkness.

"He-Hello!" I call into the abyss as I sit up. "Hello, Is anyone there?" I call again. Slowly I start to stand up and as I do so I take a moment to recognize my voice. It's kinda shaky at the moment and has a slight accent. I take a moment to try to place it. Australian. I decide.

All of a sudden I'm jolted upwards and slammed back down, before I see a light start to shine from above me.

I look up shielding my eyes with my forearm. I think I start to see shapes, possibly the outlines of people.

"Holy Klunk" A voice mutters from above me. Yep definitely people, male by the sound of it. "Guys!" the voice screams. "It's a shucking girl!"

I hear gasps from above the light. Also murmurs lots of those, such as "A girl, No way", "I call dibs!" Also some " you can't claim a person Klunkhead!"

I look down at myself, yep female. Ok so female, check. Name, nope. Age, nope. Anything else, nope. Ok so I'm a mess.

Let's see what do I know. I know what pizza is, and that I don't like it. I know what apples are, and know that my favorite kind is green. I know about world geography, and history. So basically I just don't know who I am, that makes sense. Right?

No, yeah probably not.

I hear a soft klank sound from next to me like a Piece of metal meeting another piece of metal. I look down to see I dropped a small silver object, a necklace, I bend down to pick it up.

As I do so I see a guy drop down in front of me on a rope ladder thing. Standing up again, well putting the necklace on, and look at him.

"Are ya coming up?" He asks, kinda rushed and annoyed.

"Ya, ya. Don't get your boxers in a knot." I respond grabbing the ladder from his hand as I start climbing up. As I do so I hear a lot more chanting from the boys outside this box thing.

"Burn!" "She got you." "Burned by the greenie!"

A what now?

Now that I'm outa the box at least I can see now. Looking around I realise my assumption was correct and I am the only girl, boys on all sides of me. Everyone here appears to be surrounding me.

Looking around in a circle I take in all the boys faces. There appears to be a lot of boys here, all of which were currently staring at me with unreadable expressions. Some I think I see curiosity.

"So greenie? Got a name!" Someone from the circle of boys tell.

Getting a lot of murmurs of both annoyance and agreement, "Shut Up!" I yell at them, "Maybe ya get a name if ya close your mouths and let me think!"

"Feisty!" I hear someone yell, Followed by laughter.

"Liza!" I yell, "There boys ya got a name happy! Now if ya would be so kind. Where the actual crap am I?!"
