- We have the address and we are going right now. Are you coming with us?

- You can't just go like that? What if someone gets injured?

- What if Aaliyah is already injured? Shawn this is not a joke we are going with or without you.

- Okay I'm coming.

Karen, Manuel and Shawn got on the road and ten minutes after they arrived at the right location. Manuel parked on the opposite side of the street so it wouldn't be obvious that they were going at that house. Shawn was sweating. He was so nervous that he couldn't even make a sentence. Karen decided to break the silence.

- So you are sure it's here?

- Yes it is.. Now tell me what's the plan and we will do it.

- Well, we knock at the door and I will demand to talk to this guy's parent. I will explain everything I know and show them the conversation on Aaliyah's phone. 

- I'm so nervous. (Shawn talking)

- Me too Shawn but we have to do it. I know his father is in the police so maybe it'll be easier to talk. I would do anything for Aaliyah and I have faith that she is still alive.

- So are we all going?

- Do you guys want to come?

- Yes (Manuel and Shawn talking)

- Let's go.

The three grown ups got out of the car and went knocking at Nick's door.

Nick opened the door and when he saw Karen with her family he looked really confused and anxious.

- You can't be here.

- Oh yes I can. If you don't let me talk to your parents just remember that I know a lot about you. I know things you don't even think I know so if I get out of here without talking to your parent it's at the police I will go. You understand me?

- Yeah.. DAD!

His dad arrived and told the Mendes family to come in. They all sat in their living room and the cop ( Nick's dad) said : 

- What brings you guys here ?

- Well that's kind of complicated but if you listen to me you might get your answer. (Karen)

- Okay, go ahead.

- You know, the night of the accident, my daughter did not die. Right before we left the house, you son came in my house with a gun, which I believe is yours, and threatened me that if I told the police what happened, he would kill my daughter. He kidnapped her and told me I had to fake an accident.He thought my daughter somehow did something that could put him in danger. Ever since this day, I have tried to figure out what happened and here's what I found. 

Karen showed the cop this previous conversation between Nick and Aaliyah. 

U: I know that you know.

A: what? Who are you?

U: doesnt matter. I know you heard that conversation, that night. You know too much and you need to be quiet. If you tell anyone I messaged you, I will kill you too.

A: Nick, I won't tell anyone, I swear. Don't do anything to my family.

U: You won't be quiet Aaliyah. You will stay with me.

A: what? How?

U: You'll see.

- NICK! COME HERE! 

Nick arrived and his dad showed him Aaliyah's phone with the conversation. 

- So Nick you are going to sit down and tell Karen all the things you did and why you did it. I only know the why but I never knew you did this to her daughter. After this conversation, you are going to tell me where she is and we will have to tell the police you kidnapped her because now she is considered dead.

- Okay... Well it all started couple of months ago, I invited Layla on a date. It was my first time driving alone and when I went to pick her up, I hit her and she died. There was no proof that it was an accident and I could've been in trouble so my dad made sure everyone would think it was a suicide and paid his parents..

- Oh my god. (Shawn)

- A week after this accident I received a text message from a girl in my class that turned out to be Layla's neighbor. She told me that she knew about the accident. I told her to come talk to me at the party I was going to that night. At the party, I talked to her in the bathroom and threatened her so she would not tell anyone. But little did I know, Aaliyah was listening at the door while everybody was partying. She knew I killed that girl. The next day, she send me a text message that said she heard it all and that she knew but she blocked the number so I wouldn't know it was her. I finally discovered the number by asking friends to help me. I sent her the messages you showed me earlier. After that I took my dad's gun and went get to get her.

- WHERE IS SHE? (Shawn)

- She is in an apartment that I rented. 

- GET IN YOUR CAR AND YOU ARE DRIVING ME TO THIS APARTMENT!

- Ok.
