It's the end of school and I'm walking with my friends to my house. They don't know it but I absolutely dread going to that horrible place. It's like hell it's self. As we get there I say goodbye to all my friends.
"Run keagan, run. Don't turn back just leave. You won't have to endure this anymore if you just leave."
"KEAGAN GET YOUR ASS IN THIS HOUSE BEFORE I BEAT IT!"
I step in the house to be choked by the smell of cigarettes and strong liquor. I'm about to close the door to my room when my mother grabs my wrist, turns me around and slaps me.
"That's what happens when you don't greet someone when walking in the door." She says clenching her teeth with a look of disgust on her face.
"Your drunk again, you should go rest."
"DONT. Tell me what to do. This is my house and I'm your mother. Now go get that face cleaned up and stay in your room till supper."
"What are we having?"
"I'm having curry. You get chicken and rice."
"Oh."As I walk into my bathroom I see I have a huge bruse on my face. I put an Ice pack on it hoping it would be gone by tomorrow.
-the next day-
"Hey what happened man?" Cero said while pointing at my face.
"N-nothing I ran into a wall."
"Haha oh keagan your so clumsy." Said Ariana.
"Well let's go to class." Said Elli."I wish I could tell them. What I'm going through. But I can't. I don't want them to worry about me. So I'll keep smiling. Smiling like everything is ok. Like my mom isn't a drunk. Like I'm just clumsy. Like I'm not abused."
