Chapter 1: 12 years later

Vivian awoke in her bed.Man was she tired. too bad she had school. Vivian laid there with her eyes opened for a couple of minutes. then her eyes began to fall again. then she remembered something, today was her....

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY VIVIAN!!!" Two people yelled. when she opened her eyes, she saw her Uncle Joey and Aunt Mai. "Thank you.." she said happily yet tired. "wow, your already 13." Joey said. "C'mon kiddo! get up, you'll be late for school." Mai said.

Vivian brushed her hair,got dressed and ran downstairs. She ate breakfast and left. when she left, her friend,Madison,cought up with her. "Hey Viv!" Madison said. "Hey!" she yelled. "Wow! my Viv is already 13! I can't believe it!" Madison joked. "Haha, I know." Vivian responded. "Sooo, do you feel any different?" Madison asked. "Not really, I feel the same. just OLDER." Vivian joked. They both laughed as they walked their way to school.

When they arrived, they headed to their first class. they had a quiz on the states. Vivian spent all night studying the states. She thought because of her tiredness, she was going to fail. but after it was over,she thought it was easy as pie.

Finally, it was time to go home. Vivian was so happy to get into her bed and sleep in.it was Friday, so it was the best part. When she reached home,she there her book bag on the couch and fell on it. "So, how was your birthday in school Birthday-Girl?" Mai asked. Vivian held up her test without a word. She aced it. "Good job!" Mai said. "wheres Uncle Joey?"Vivian asked. "He went out for a little bit." Mai said.

After Joey returned, Vivian, Jory and Mai ate dinner. then Vivian took a shower. She felt better after that. She said her good nights and went to bed.
