I sat in the kitchen at the table the events playing back in my head Lydia had gone missing and so had the nogitsune the good thing was that we had stiles back a cup of coffee snapped me from my thoughts I looked up at my mom

"Thanks mom"I said giving her a tight smile

"What are you thinking?"she asked looking at me I ran a hand through my hair

"She's gone I only took my eyes off her for a second and she.....what kind of friend am I?"I asked her she straightened up at that

"Hey none of that was your fault none of it...."she said I shook my head and looked up at her

"It is actually mom"I said she furrowed her eyebrows

"what they did to find you guys when you were gonna be sacrificed it set that thing free"I explained she was stunned which made me cover my face as I started to cry I couldn't lose my best friend

"It's okay were gonna find her"she said coming to hug me

"You really think so?"I asked her she kisses my forehead

Mom checked stiles out to make sure he was okay Malachi clung onto my leg

"Well... Medically, you seem okay You're definitely a real person"mom said I sighed picking up Malachi not wanting him to see this

"Okay, so I'm real, but am I really me?"he asked I then heard a knock on the door I went to let noshiko in the others met us in the hall

"Do you recognize me, hmm?"she asked him

"Stop"kira said rushing inside

"It's okay. I'm the one who asked her to come"stiles tells her

"You're the one who's going to get stabbed with swords though"I told him he looks at me I looked away I'm not sure if I could ever look at him the same

"Mom, don't do this to him"kira said

"It's already done"she said the oni appeared making me walk away to the kitchen I made Malachi some cereal he sat at the counter

"Mommy is uncle biles gonna be okay?"he asked I ruffled his hair

"Of course he is why?"I asked him

"He looks very sick"he said I hugged him

"Oh baby your uncles gonna be okay he just came down with a cold don't worry about it"I said just then Scott comes in the kitchen

"What are you two talking about?"he asked I let Malachi alone as my mom comes in and she wiggles a new toy in his face I watched as his dimples came out as he smiled reaching for it

"Can we talk?"I asked him

"Yeah sure"he said we went to his room

"I know that look what is it?"he asked I turned around looking at him

"Its Malachi he asked me is stiles gonna be okay and then he said stiles looks very sick.... And Lydia..."he cuts off my rant

"Hey we're gonna find her"he said I sighed running a hand through my hair

"What am I supposed to do?"I asked him he places a hand on my shoulder

"Take care of your kids we aren't your main priority anymore daisy you're a mother now but you're not alone"he said I nodded looking up at him

"You're right"I said he nods

"Come here"he said pulling me into a hug I then heard a small voice

"Uncle scoot"I turned to look at Allison

"Angel face"Scott said his eyes lighting up as he let's me go and picks her up

"How are you?"he asked her poking her nose

"I'm good"she said pointing to herself with sass in her voice

"how are you?"she added pointing to him I smiled watching as they both laughed

I watched as Scott left to go to the school I leaned against the wall staring at stiles

"I know you're afraid of me"he said I walked closer

"I'm afraid of a lot of things stiles like the people I care about the most dying I'm afraid of not graduating I'm afraid of what will happen to Lydia but you don't make the list"I explained to him

"I can see the way you look at me Daisy"he said

"Am I afraid of you? No am I cautious? Yeah"I said as I gave him a blanket

"I'm sorry for everything I did...."I cut him off sitting beside him

"It wasn't you"I said he looks at me

"But I remember it like it was me"he said he licks his lips

"I remember hitting you upside the head with a pipe I remember everything....."I cut him off

"If it's anyone's fault it's mine I should've been there more...."he cuts me off

"You have a family now I don't think that requires you having a choice between me and them"he said I nodded

"I'm glad you're okay though"I said looking at him

"God I missed you so much"I said as my tears fell he pulled me into his embrace

"Derek?"I called out his name he turns around

"Oh my god what happened to you?"I asked him

"The nogitsune possessed me I'm alright now"he said his fingers running through my hair

"Stiles is okay but now they've gotta find Lydia I just...."I paused mid sentence

"What is it?"he asked placing his hands on my arms I shook my head trying to shake the horrible feeling

"I have a bad feeling about this"
