The greatest punishment in this world is not death. It is putting someone in isolation .
Ivan Koslov stares at the yellow Sun rays falling through the window without glass.
He sometimes wondered how he ended up like this . He should've woken up sooner.

It's been years since he had spoken. Just occasional grumbles. Just like a beast.
He was a beast. Only beasts would do what he had done . If he saw the beauty of everything before he would've become a better human.  For him life is sitting and staring out at the stars at night and read books in the morning . At 7:00 he will get his
breakfast of rice and steamed vegetables . Lunch was usually stale soup. He would sometimes observe the others. They will be talking and laughing like normal people. But they were far from normal.

Ivan wished he could go outside sit on the grass and look up at the wise old universe . He wished humans would stop hurting each other and love. Ivan knew that a man like him would never find love. He was not just a prisoner of the Vladimir central jail.
He was a prisoner of his own mind .Haunted and alone forever.
