Love Finds A Way

Chapter 1

"Mom mom mom!"

"Sorry honey mommy was thinking." I can't believe I was in such deep thought I hadn't heard my boyfriend or four year son come home. "What are you so excited about shorty?" I asked ruffling his dirty blonde hair just like his father's. He had the same smirk and blue eyes too. Ok Tins you need to focus.

"Dad got me a baseball and glove!" He answered me excitedly while pushing them into my face. "He is going to teach me how to throw!"

"I swear we won't break any windows." My boyfriend Matt promises me with a sweet smile. I can tell he knows he broke the rule of no new toys for six months.

I don't want Keith to end up spoiled but I can't be mad at Matt. He stands there at 6'2" wearing his normal warm weather outfit of a Polo and khakis. Dark green eyes and black hair. Sometimes I wonder how I ended up with such a great guy. I thought for sure when I told him I was a single mom of a three month old he would run for the hills. But all he said is I love kids. And we have been together ever since.

"Keith why don't you go wash up. Dinner will be ready soon." I know he will be excited when he sees I made homemade Chicken pot pie and chocolate cake for dessert.

As soon as Keith was in the house Matt was pulling me to him and kissing me on the neck.

"I am sorry baby." He mumbles against my neck. All I can think is we need to send Keith to his grandparents house this weekend.

"You can show me how sorry after Keith goes to bed."  I tell him as I smack his butt and walk into the house.

Looking around I am still surprised this is how my life has turned out. I love my life don't get me wrong but before that day I thought my life was going in a whole other direction.

I was so excited for Brantley to get home from tour. I had found out two days ago I was pregnant. I didn't want to tell him over the phone so I was waiting for him to arrive.

We have been together for two years and our wedding is in five months. Hard to believe in two short years Brantley has become a star and we have a baby on the way! Honestly life couldn't be anymore perfect.

It took everything in me to not go running as soon as I heard the bus coming down the driveway but I didn't want to give away the surprise too soon so I walked around the living room.

As soon as Brantley looked at me he looked sad. I should have figured then something was wrong.

I ran over to him throwing my arms around him. He immediately starting pushing me away and that is when I saw her.

"Brantley I am going to put my stuff in our room darling while you take out the trash" And the way she was looking at me I knew I was the trash.

"What is she doing here?" I demanded. I can't believe she is here. She break his heart after high school and took off and married another man. Awful funny she shows back up as soon as he starts making it big.

"Don't be like that Tinsley. Her and I are back together." He answered me with no emotion in his voice.

"What about her husband? What about me?" I was trying to hold it together but my heart was shattering.

"She left her husband to see if we could make things work. You don't ever want to go on tour with me and you aren't very supportive" he told me not even willing to look me in the eye.

"Supportive? I have done everything for you! I believe it was me that introduced you to the people at the label company! And of course I couldn't take off on tour with you. I have been working two jobs for two years so you could make it in the music industry!!!" I can't believe what I am hearing! I have done everything for this man including paying the bills so he could live his dream.

"I am sorry it's only fair to all of us to see if she and I have something still there."

I couldn't believe him. I had almost killed myself for two years for this man. At least I found out what he was about before the wedding and before he knew about our child.

I slipped off my engagement ring and tried to hand it to him.

"Tinsley we aren't calling off the wedding. I just want space to see if Amber and I still have something. If we don't you and I can still get married."

I can't believe he even said that to me! I threw the ring at him.

"Forget I ever existed. You and her can both go straight to hell!" I yelled as I grabbed my purse and took off to my car. I knew I had things in that house but none of that matters. All I could think about is getting out of that house and getting as far away as possible.

"Tinsley! Are you okay?" Matt asked me while looking worried.

"Everything is great! Do you think your parents can take Keith away this weekend? I would love some alone adult time with you?" I really hope he doesn't realize that there is more on my mind then just this weekend.

"I am sure they will take him. You know they love having him around."

Matt's parents are amazing. They took Keith and I into the family like we always belonged. Which is great because Matt and I work for the family construction company. He is a crew foreman and I do the accounting in the office.

Life isn't want I thought it would be but it is a great life.
