It was dark. Cold. She stepped into therestaurant, hanging chandeliers lit up the roomand classical music filled her ears. The warmth ofthe building radiated on her skin, restoring theheat that was stripped from her by the bitter coldoutside. She walked by the hostess to where sheknew her date awaited her. At the table satSpencer Reid- the bright young genius she hadthe honor to spend her evening with. He noticedher and stood up, shaking her hand.
"It's so niceto finally meet you. I'm Spencer." he said with asmile. "Katherine." She replied. They sat down and picked up their menus. "So, I've heard a lot aboutyou." She said, looking up from her menu. "Oh yeah? I know close to nothing about you." He replied,staring up at her with his beautiful brown eyes. "Well, I'm a therapist. I majored in psychology andItalian in college and I like cats." She apprised. "Psychology.? I actually have a B.A. in that subject." Hestated. "Is that so.. What else do you have a degree in, genius?" She jokingly asked. "Well, seeing as Iam a literal genius, I have B.A.s in psychology, sociology, and philosophy. I also happen to have PHDsin chemistry, engineering, and math." "Impressive." She said in reply, lost in his eyes. At this point, thewaitress came to take their orders. They ordered and the waitress was off on her way.
"What do you do for a living?" She asked. "I work for the behavioral analysis unit for the FBI." Hepromptly replied. "So you catch serial killers? That's actually really cool." She pretended she wassurprised to learn this. "Actually, it's not really catching the killers that the job is all about, it's moreprofiling them, getting inside their heads. Really trying to firgure out how they think, and then wecatch them." He corrected. "Pretty cool." Kat said, biting her lip. "I guess it is "pretty cool." He said tohimself. After some more chit chat about themselves, the waitress came with their food.

After they ate, Reid offered to walk Katherine home. the duo soon found themselvesstood outside Kat's apartment in the rain. Kat thanked him for dinner. "I had a wonderful time." Shesaid. Reid blushed and smiled profusely. She leaned in, until they were about an inch away from eachother. Reid was trying to keep his cool as he could feel the beads of sweat forming on hisforehead."D-did you know only 48% of couples kiss on the first date?.." he stuttered. "What arethe possibilities of us kissing on our first date?" She answered.
