Tony and I sit on his truck's tail gate enjoying some dinner from a fast food joint we were parked in front of. I was about to take a bite of my burger when Tony spoke.

"Cam will you go to a party with me tonight?"

"What kind of party?" I give him a curious glance.

"A promotion party," He replies, "dress nice but casual."

"who's?" I wanted to make sure it was no one I hated.

"My friend Raúl," he answers, "I just don't want to go alone."

"Sure I'll go with you," I let out a laugh, "for old times sake."

"Cool, can we take your car?" He asks.

"Yes we can take the charger," He gives me a satisfied grin, "but you can't drive."

I stand in the back corner of the room sipping on a glass of champagne. I didn't know anyone and Tony was talking with guys he knew. I just sat back and watched the dance hoping all would go undisturbed.

"Cameron?" I look in the direction of the voice.

"Justine!" I greet the women I had met earlier, "wow, I didn't expect to know anyone."

"Raúl is my coworker," she laughs, "who are you here with?"

"Tony," I point him out of the crowd.

"Are you two a thing?" she asks.

"No," I reply, "just a friend. But I do have a boyfriend."

"oh who?" she suddenly reminds me of my cousin Sonia.

"Robbie Reyes," I answer.

"He works at Canelo's," she almost jumps for joy, "He worked on my car one time. He's a cute one!"

"Small world," I take a sip of champagne feeling myself blush.

"So, how about you and I get out of here and go find a more lively party?" Justine gives me a serious grin, "or how about a ride in that hot rod you own?"

Before I could speak, I was interrupted by the last person I wanted to hear.

"Kate Cameron!" Tanner's words ring in my ears and I wanted to disappear.

The kid who had caused me so much torment all through my high school career. Now he was back and I didn't want to know what he would dish out. I didn't say a word, I just spun around and decked him causing him to call to the floor. People turn and stare at the scene before them.

"God Tanner!" I shake my head at him, "I'm so done with you!"

"Where's Reyes at Katie?" he gets up wiping blood from his mouth, "didn't want to be seen tonight?"

"She's with me hot shot," Tony steps forward.

"What's Robbie gonna think?" Tanner cocks his head to the side, "seeing his girl is with another man? Or is he not good enough for you now?"

"Tanner!" I was about to go after him when Voice cuts me off.

"Cameron! That's enough!"

That's when I realize that I had heated up and started to smoke. I usually had warning before I reached that level. I hadn't even felt myself heat up. I turn and storm out of the room to the balcony wanting to be away from all the stimulates. I exit into the cool evening air feeling my lungs fill with air bringing me relaxation. I blow out air like I was blowing out cigarette smoke, I close my eyes and enjoy the quiet. I hear the door behind me open and close and I suspect that Tony or Justine had followed me out. I turn around and find Raúl standing there. I roll my eyes and turn my back to him. I lean on the railing looking down at the street below. I lean forward when I find Ghost, something was off, I could see a glow in her engine under her blower.

"Everything alright miss?" Raúl breaks the silence.

"It's fine thank you," I lash out.

"Easy there darling," he comes up behind me.

I feel myself tense up defensively when he was directly behind me. I sense Voice perk up and stir, the actions she performed when we were around someone who deserved to be taken out. He leans on the rail next to me and I look over at him keeping a stern expression. He glances in my direction and his eyes were deceptive in nature added to by a cunning smile.

"What's up between you and Tanner?" Raúl steps closer.

"He doesn't like me or my boyfriend," I lean against the railing wondering if the fall would kill me or if Voice would save me.

"Maybe there is something I can do," He pulls my hair back and holds it like a pony tail.

I straighten up feeling uneasy. I look back and see the curtains on the doors to the room closed. I feel his hands run down my arms and stop at my waist. Before I could do anything I feel a needle break my skin. I jerk my arm away and I look down to see the syringe on the ground. I feel my body start to shake as the drugs take immediate effect.

"What did you do?!" I yelp falling back into the rail.

"Just a little something to help you relax," he puts his hands on my shoulders.

"Not happening!" Voice snarls.

I feel her take over as my skin starts to burn away. I take full form but I wasn't in control, Voice was. She snatches him up and pins him against the rail. He was in full fear now as Voice looks down at him.

"Please let me go!" he begs, "Please!"

Voice cocks my head then shoves Raúl over the railing and off the edge. He falls four stories down to the pavement below. I feel Voice let go and I feel my normal form come back. I look down to see Raúl below in a pool of blood. He was laying next to Ghost and I hoped she could help me out. I scream to alert the party guests and make it seem that I was not the guilty party. Tony and Justine are the first to reach me, they look down and Justine screams as well. I feel the weight come back on and I fall to the ground. Tony leans down next to me looking concerned.

"Cameron?" he tries to lift me up but I couldn't stand, "What happened?"

"He drugged me," I stutter reaching for the syringe on the ground, "he used that."

My vision starts to fade and my breathing slows down. I try to stand up by my legs were like jello. Tony picks me up bridal style, I tried to protest but was unsuccessful. I was confused as to why the drugs were still affecting my system, they should of been flushed out when I went into rider form.

"I'm taking you home," He walks over to the elevator in the building.

"You are not driving my car," I try to sound serious but my voice didn't help me.

"Yes I am because you can't," he states, "and you can't argue this."

"Fine," I snap sarcastically, "this is ridiculous."

He steps into the elevator to head back down and I pass out in his arms.
