Jacob's P.O.V.

My heart raced in my chest as I tried to slow down my breathing. The rain had become torrential and the roads had nearly deserted. I looked around, searching for the predator but to no avail. A sharp pain accelerated through my hand as I punched the concrete wall letting out all of my anger.

'How could I let him get away this time?' I muttered to myself

Rage had taken over my body and I could feel my blood boiling. Images from what had happened a few hours ago played in my mind like a movie. The thought of the two people in that room alone was enough to make me flinch. I glanced at the cold, metal gun that was safely resting in my hand and a question arose in my mind.

'Do you really want to kill him?'

Cold water splashed on my face, drenching me from head to toe. I sat up from my bed and it took me a few minutes to acknowledge my surroundings. Slapped back to reality?

It was a small room with paint almost scraped off from all the walls. An old picture hung near the doorway where there once used to be a door. There was a rusty cupboard in one corner and an almost broken bed which I was lying on.

Wiping the muddy water off my face, I got up and made my way down the old, squeaking stairs. The stench of alcohol enveloped my nostrils. A young lady, probably in her mid twenties was standing in the kitchen. Her clothes were torn and the skin showing was bruised and scarred. She turned around and I wondered how a person so destructed on the inside manages to smile in the way she did.

'Good Morning, honey! I have laid down the breakfast. Hurry up or you will be late for school.' She greeted.

I made my way to the breakfast table which was a piece of old, wooden furniture that was slightly chipped off at the corners.

As soon as I was done with breakfast I grabbed my black jacket and made my way towards the front door. Before I could reach out for the handle, the door flew open and entered the man I despised the most. We exchanged glances, ones that reflected the anger and hatred we held for each other, and I shoved past him heading towards the bus stop.

Luna's P.O.V.

I walked through the doorway as the sound of my stilettos clicking the perfectly cleaned floor echoed through the hall. Everyone was already in their classes as for me I recently got hit by the "Fashionably Late Syndrome".

Pulling my Prada bag on my shoulder, I silently said my prayers for I was about to enter the devil's lair. Taking a deep breath, I plucked up some courage and opened the door. The devil a.k.a Miss Petunia had her back towards me. I stealthily entered the room and to my bad luck every human being in the class had to look and gawk at my appearance which in turn grabbed her attention.

'Well done, my fans' I let out a sigh.

The gawking faces turned into slightly angry faces and I realised that I had said it out aloud. Note to self: Please get enough sleep next time.

'Well if it isn't our very own celebrity!' She remarked,'Please enlighten us as to how Miss Pinafore, you finally decided to show up?'

'I'm actually just early for the second class' I muttered to myself.

'Miss Pinafore! Did you just talk back to a teacher?' She shouted, her eyes ablaze with anger.

Before I could say anything in my defence, a detention slip was signed and handed onto me. This was the first time I was getting detention. What a delightful morning, I must say. Note 2: Keep your mouth shut, especially around teachers.
