Heracles opened his locker to find an index card on top of his books. 'I love you, and will reveal myself soon' it read. Heracles' heart beat faster as he gave the thought that it may be Sadiq attention. He quickly shoved the thought to the back of his mind as he gathered his books.
"Oh look, it's the freak," Sadiq said. Heracles spun around, ready to punch Sadiq, revealing his black eye. "What happened!?" Sadiq asked.
"Like you would care," Heracles snapped. He started to walk away, when Sadiq grabbed his arm.
"What. Happened." He growled.
Heracles looked away to hide the fact that his face was now a beautiful shade of crimson. "I got beat up on the bus for wearing the stupid ears." Hearing that, Sadiq scowled and stormed off, leaving a confused Heracles.

Heracles sat in his usual spot near the front of the bus and gazed out the window, daydreaming. He was torn from his thoughts when Sadiq sat next to him.
Seeing Heracles' confused face, Sadiq said, "nobody beats you up except me." Heracles looked out the window again, this time with a feeling of doom settling upon him. They rode in silence. When Heracles got off the bus, Sadiq followed. Heracles started walking home, Sadiq still following. After Sadiq was certain no-one was around, he grabbed Heracles' wrist, causing him to tense.
"Heracles," he started. "I'm sorry. I hurt you and you probably hate me, but I have to tell you something... I love you."
"Did you put the stuff in my locker?"
"Yes."
In disbelief Heracles asked, " what did you leave today?" Sadiq then gave him a list of everything he had given him. Sadiq held his breath, preparing himself for rejection, a slap to the face, or both, as Heracles rummaged through his bag before pulling the cat ears out. He leaned forward and placed them on Sadiq's head. "I love you too," he whispered before planting a chaste kiss on Sadiq's lips.
Sadiq grinned and pulled Heracles into a passionate kiss. When they broke for air, he said two words, "Screw reputation"
Heracles smiled, happy that he was loved.
Sadiq smiled, happy that he finally had his kitten in his arms.
