This is book six. Which means there are five before this. Which means you do have to read them to get at least a vague semblance of wtf is going on.
Book one: detached // yoongi
Book two: w e e k // jimin
Book three: wrist // taehyung
Book four: corner poetry // namjoon
Book five: baepsae // jungkook
Book one and two are musts. detached has all the character introductions, relationships etc. and book two furthers the story and is just overall necessary. It is okay if you don't read the other three in order then. But one and two, yes.
