The Mystery Girl

"Cupid..where are we going?" I asked him for the hundredth time.

He just grinned and said "Have patience Lovebug"

He took a left turn leading us to the very familiar lane and parked the car on a side.

"You literally drove us all the way here for something that ain't a surprise but is still some surprise" I frowned

"Yeah..I guess" He grinned again.

We both got out of the car and walked towards the very familiar place.

The Cupids Matchmaking Service was written in elegant calligraphy above the glass shop front. A sign reading not taking in any new clients at the time hung from the door handle.

We entered the gates and walked down the reception to the open workspace. I started walking towards Cal's cabin when he held my hand.

"What?" I asked as I turned around.

"We aren't going to Cal. Somewhere else." He said.

I frowned and he made our way towards the elevator with my hand in his. We entered and I kept quite, knowing he won't answer any of my answers.

As we reached the roof I gasped. It was such a beautiful scene. There was a round table for two decorated with beautiful flowers in the centre with beautiful decorated trees around the railings. He brought me here for a date.

"This is beautiful" I exclaimed with a wide smile.

"Yeah..But unfortunately it's not for us" He said with a sarcastic apologetic expression on my face. Wait..Is he serious?

Ughh..He really knows how to spoil everything.

"Then? Who is it for?" I asked maintaining my angry voice in a sweet, confused tone.

"You jealous?" He grinned.

"No..Why would I be?" I replied with a calm voice.

"Let's see. They should be here in 5 minutes." He said looking at his wrist watch.

"Wait..Are we disturbing someone else's date? Cupid..This is wrong. Leave those innocent souls alone and come with me." I said pulling him towards the elevator. Why is he so strong and hard?

"Oh c'mon Lila. We aren't doing anything like that." He laughed.

"Then?" I asked excitedly.

"Wait..Come here." He said pulling me towards one of the large christmas trees. The elevator had went down.

"Cupid..You are an idiot." I said, totally annoyed by this. He just grinned.

We were hidden behind a large tree and it sure would block us from whoever was coming.

As the elevator opened I saw a beautiful girl coming out. A black dress covering her tall silhouette and dark straight hair making her look even more pretty. She had a quiver hung behind her back and a bow in but she was looking a bit dizzy. The elevator went back.

"Who is she?" I whispered to Cupid.

"You'll know soon."

The girl looked around a bit confused and then fiddled with her clutch. She took out a note and examined it.

Few moments later the elevator came back with the most unexpected person. He was looking different, not like his usual self. He was in a blue suit and a quiver obviously hung behind his back. His hair much more differently settled. Cal strode out on the roof and looked surprisingly at the surroundings.
