Veronica's POV
Dear Diary,I always wonder if I will always be a loser, not just at school, but in life, after high school. I love my best friend, Martha, but I feel like she just isn't as cool as everyone thought she was in kindergarten, like she is just not enough at Westerberg .
Majority of us aren't spoken to by the Heathers because we're "not cool enough" or we're "losers". I hope I don't fit into either of those categories, but I probably do.
___________________________________________________________"Veronica! Dinner!" Veronica's mother was calling her.
"Ugh. Coming!" She replied. She pushed her diary across her desk and left the room.Afterwards, she flopped back onto her bed. Why did high school have to be so terrible?
The next day.
As Veronica trudged towards her homeroom she saw the Heathers heading towards the girls bathrooms. Probably ditching class. Suddenly Martha appeared in front of her.
"Hey Veronica." Martha cheerfully said.
"Hey Martha. How's it going?" She always faked a smile, just for Martha, so she couldn't know how Veronica was really feeling. Martha was always happy and if she knew that Veronica dreaded school and was longing to leave. Thank god it was their final year of high school. But that didn't mean that Veronica hated Martha, she actually cared for her very much.
"Oh. Good. I rented The Princess Bride, as usual." Martha looked up at Veronica. She was a big girl who was quite short. But she was sweet, kind and, most of all, she was loyal.
