Prologue:

25 4 6

Imagine this, you're in your fifth period English class when the teacher tells everyone to get in groups of six for a project. So as you sit there, in the back of the class, minding your own business. The most popular kids in school sit around you.

Honestly they did it because you're freakishly smart and they don't want to fail.

Sofia Summers, tall, tan, blonde, easy access (if you know what I mean) she always has this 'deer in headlights' look. Rider Richards, tall, tan, handsome, jock, every girl wants him. Josh Johnson, he's on the shorter side, jock, pailer then Rider, black hair, blue eyes, perfect right? Wrong. He's the school 'bad boy' and I mean bad boy he's been arrested five or six times this month! Then there's Jesse Johnson, looks just like her twin Josh, only difference is her hair is long and she's a girl. Also she's my only friend. Tanner Thompson, tall, blonde hair, green eyes, also my only friend. Gay which is probably why we're friends.

Sighing I look at the teacher awaiting the inevitable assignment.

"Class, this months task is to find and read your favorite fairy tales. Now, when you finish get back with your group and compare what is alike and tell what's different. This is to help us realize that each writer has a different point to his or her methods of writing. No Grimm brothers story's. I want the real deal. Alright you guys are free to go to the library now. Have fun and stay out of trouble Mr. and Miss Johnson." Mr. O'Connor smiled as he finished.

"This is going to be fun." Sofia said before bouncing her way to the library. "Does she even know where the library is?" Jesse asked looking at me. Sighing I started walking ahead of them. 'Stupid jocks. Stupid popular people. Stupid assignment. Stupid school.' I sighed as I pushed open the wooden doors that blocked me from my safe haven.

I smiled as the smell of old books and the librarians cheep perfume made It's way into my nose. "Which way Heavenly?" Jesse asked looking around. Yes she may be my friend, but that doesn't mean she likes books as much as I do.

I smiled and grabbed her hand before leading them to the back left corner of the library. Nobody else from our class where there so I figured that they ditched the assignment. 'Typical' I thought before walking to a shelf and running my fingers over the books.

"Jack and the bean stock? Isn't that the one with the cow that has eggs?" Rider asked picking up the book. "No. It's about a boy who sells his only cow for magic beans. He climbs the bean stock and there is a giant who has a duck that lays golden eggs." I said quietly. I didn't even think before I spoke, it just all came pouring out of my mouth.

'Way to go dipshit! now they'll hate you even more!' I mentally yelled in my head. "Oh yeah. Dibs on this one." that's all? No yelling at me? No cussing me out? Wow, that's new.

Sighing I grabbed an older looking book I haven't seen before. I glanced down at the title "Enchanted" I spoke out loud. I didn't mean to say it out loud, that happens to me sometimes. I sat down at the table with the rest of the group. "Okay so Jesse has Snow White, Jack has Rumple Stilskin(?), Rider has Jack and The Bean Stock, I have Sleeping Beauty, Tanner has Repunsel(?), and what do you have Heavenly?" Sofia asked as everyone sat down with their books in hand.

"Um I don't know. I've never heard of this story before." I said opening the book. The binding made a creaking noise as I opened it. Almost like an old wooden door. 'It says. 'The book of Enchanted isn't just a story, it's a gateway. A gateway between realms no one has even seen. If one does not wish to go to these realms, do not read out loud. Once you go in...you can't come out.' so yeah. I don't know what this book is." I finished reading the golden writing. As I was staring at the page the letter began to fade away.

"Guys. My books fading!" I almost yelled while shoving my book to the middle of the table. Everyone leaned in and gasped as the page began to glow lightly. "Well shit. Way to go heavenly. Now we're going to be stuck in a damn book!" Jack yelled as the glowing got brighter.

"Sorry!!" I yelled over the wind that was blowing all around us. The last thing I remember was a bright white light coming out of the book. It was so bright we all had to turn away. That's the last thing I remember before the darkness took over.
