Jade's Pov

Still feeling disoriented I plodded along wondering where we were, and where we were going. In the distance I could see a building. My heart started jumping out of my chest. Questions flooded my brain. Is this a good sign? Where are we? Has this got something to do with the picture of the boy? I have been thinking about that a lot. Was it something to help us? Should we try and find the mysterious boy? God so many questions!!! As we started getting closer Jesy, Leigh-anne and Perrie noticed the building too. Instantly their faces lit up, but I'm not that naive. I feel like I should be excited and relieved. But I wasn't. People were already standing outside looking shocked. Before I knew it we had arrived at the building. Gingerly, I opened up my mouth to say something just as someone bombarded through the door. He looked like he was going to kill us. He was holding a gun aimed at us. Immediately I panicked. His facial expressions softened but I couldn't relax because he was still aiming at us. Hang on, this was the boy in the picture!!!

Lucas's Pov

OMIGOD! Little Mix! I am fangirling so bad right now! Wait a minute wouldn't it be fanboying? Getting away from the point. The girls looked over at me looking scared shitless. Why are they so frightened of me?

" Dude maybe you should stop aiming a AK 47 at some terrified girls " Zayn whispered, motioning to my gun.

" Oh right " I stammered.

" Sorry, I thought you were intruders " Embarressed and ashamed, I looked down.

" It's okay " An angelic voice quietly whispered. Jade. She was so forgiving considering I could've killed her there and then. Something snapped me out of my day dream. A growl. They were back.

" RUN!" I yelled making a break for the girls, Zayn having the same idea. 2 of the girls had already gone Jesy and Leigh-anne. What I'm a mixer. I grabbed Jade hoisting her over my shoulder heading back to base. Looking back I saw Zayn had done the same but the wolves were hot on his trails. There was only one thing I could do, so I decided to give Jade to Siobhan (she was also half horse) and run back to try and help Perrie and Zayn. I tried aiming at the wolf closest to Zayn and Perrie, however I couldn't get a clear shot. This meant I had to get closer. Taking a risk I ran full speed at the mutants. As soon as I was past Zayn and Perrie I started shooting aimlessly. Luck was on my side as a bullet pierced a wolf's foot (or paw) making it tumble into 2 other wolves. Finally Perrie and Zayn were at base. My teammates were screaming at me to run. Just as I was turning around a mutant jumped in front of me. Shadow.

" Nice to see you again Lucas " Shadow purred. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention they can talk as well as having like every superpower. Why do they get to be so awesome? Huh? That's because life sucks.

" I see your face looked just as ugly as before apart from the humongous scar on your face from me " I spat back. I'm quite impressed at how fast I came up with that. He growled in response.

" You will be in a worse state after I'm finished with you " Like a flash he lunged at me but I dodged.

" I see your reflexes are getting a bit slow. Don't feel bad, that's what happens when you get old " You could practically see the steam exploding from his ears by now. Thinking about it, I'm confused why nobody has shot Shadow by now. It looks like I'm on my own.

Zayn's Pov

Why do they keep coming back? What did we ever do to make them hate us so much? I mean it's not like we wanted to get stuck in this alternate universe is it? Some people these days!!! GOD!

Impationtly, I watched as Shadow tried to strike and failed. Someone should really help Lucas out. OH, maybe I should. I quickly glanced around trying to find a weapon. Lucas' machine gun was still sprawled across the floor. Just as I was about to grab it, a mutant ran towards me, kicking the gun away. REALLY?! Someone up there really hates me right now! The wolf tried to bite my neck but I dodged punching it in the face. Although they were robotic wolves the musle and tissue concealed the machinery, making it feel like a real wolf instead of a mutant. Despite the fact I had just punched a robotic wolf in the face, my hand didn't even hurt. You get used to it after 7 years trapped with these for company. My thoughts were inturrupted by a scream. The blonde girl! I spun on my heels and desperately ran blindly. Before I could even react, I had shoulder barged the colossal mutant. I heard a sickening riiiiip sound coming from beneath me, followed by a yelp in pain. My arm is starting to hurt now but if I look I know I won't be able to carry on. So I didn't look. All I could think about was getting the blonde to safety. I don't even know her name.

Perrie's Pov 

I saw the handsome boy barge into the massive wolf. I had no idea what it was but all I knew was I didn't want to stroke it. The boy or man should I say looked about the same age as me. All I could do was admire the way his eyes burned with fury when the mutant tried to attack us. We may have only just met but he is very protective. I love it. The wolf thing, whatever it was, it was collapsed on the floor screaming in pain. Because I don't know what his name is so I'm going to call him Paddy. (my dog) So Paddy started running full pelt towards us completely forgetting about his friend fighting the biggest wolf. Finally he reached us and pushed us all into the big building. It was probably their base. Paddy was bleeding on his arm but he didn't seem to notice. Closing the door on us, I stared at him bewildered.

" You guys stay here okay, good! " He said, not even giving me a chance to interrupt him. He left slamming the door with what seemed like all his might. Slowly panic started seeping in. My palms started getting sweaty. I could see the girls were feeling the same by the forced looks on their faces. Jade didn't even try to look fine. She looked terrified. Poor Jade.

Lucas' Pov

I swung a right hook, catching Shadow in the jaw. While he was down I risked a glance at the girls. Zayn was coming out of our base without the girls. At least he had got them to safety, I owe him. Unfortunately, Shadow recovered quickly ramming his whole body into me. I felt and heard something crack. Wincing in pain, I managed to get one last glimpse of Zayn with my gun aiming at Shadow, before the pain was too much. I felt myself get pulled into darkness. It was getting closer and closer every time I blinked. Leisurely my eyes sealed themselves shut.
