Gackt welcomed us warmly and tried to calm down Chachamaru in another room. Thankfully the rest of their band really liked us. You was helping me with a resume, since I was fired to find my dad, Jun-Ji was coloring with Jenna, and Chirolyn was talking kindly to me about what kind of people Jenna and I are. He would stand by my chair and kindly say, “So what was your old job, Rita? Tell me your story”
"I was a extreme dancer,” I giggled. “I dropped out of school to get a job and put Jenna through school. With neither of us having living family, besides our dads, it was tough finding a job or being accepted into society. I had to raise her. She has been living with me for a year now.”
“And how did you two meet?” Chirolyn asked, now interested, and pulled up a chair.
“I was walking in a park,” I stopped working with You to tell my tale, “and it was raining. I always walk in the rain. It’s beautiful. And I saw her. She was sitting on a bench, crying. I thought she had lost her way and couldn’t find her mother, so I walked over to her. She told me her mother was in a better place, but now she didn’t have anywhere to go. She was so little I thought she was lying so I asked her to bring me to her mom, and there is was. A freshly buried grave of Jenna’s mother. Jenna sat on where the coffin was and said ‘Mommy? This is my new friend Rita. She is nice and is pretty. You would like her. She has your smile.’ With something like that I had to help her. Since she didn’t have anywhere, and I have an apartment, so she came and lived with me. We tried to work both us going to school and me too work, but it didn’t work out. So I quit school to get a job while Jenna was at school, and we tried to find our dads during our free time.”
“Wow,” Chirolyn frowned to our story and said, “What about your mother Rita?”
“She died when I was twelve,” I said emotionlessly, “My family never accepted me, because my mother didn’t marry my father. So I am like Jenna……… All alone.” I went back to my work after that. I didn’t want to speak about my past anymore. It was pointless. I was determined to make my life better by any means possible.
“So Rita,” You said to break the tension in the air, “what is extreme dancing? Do you dance in dangerous places? Can you tell us about it?”
“It is dangerous, but its not the place that makes it extreme,” I said with a soft smile. My grin grew as I explained, “I dance with chains. The extreme factor is what is on the end of my chains. Sometimes its knives, other times its fire or metal spiked balls. The danger makes men horny and women intrigued. It made good money too.”
Neither man said anything after that. They just looked at me in shock as I finished my resume. They both looked at each other, then me, and then back to each other as if they were talking with their minds. The only thing that broke their mind conversation was Jenna giggling, “Higher, Jun-ji!!! Higher!!,” as he lifted her in the air like a plane. I smiled at her happy face. It was good to see Jenna laughing.
It took hours before Gackt and Chacha came back to us. In fact, by the time they came back, Jenna was asleep in Jun-ji’s arms. He had wrapped his jacket around her like a blanket and was humming softly to her. Gackt smiled while Chacha frowned in disgust. I too was getting tired, but I was going to sleep in You’s or Chirolyn’s arms. I watched Gackt pick up Jenna and come whisper to me, “Hows about staying with Cha and I for the night? Its pretty late and its a bad snowstorm.”
“Okay,” I whispered back and stood to get our things. As I walked out with gackt I whispered, “Goodnight You. Goodnight Chirolyn. Goodnight Jun-ji.” Gackt walked us to a very fancy car and let me get inside before handing me a sleeping Jenna.
Chacha harshly whispered to Gackt, “Where are they suppose to sleep in our house? In the medicine cupboard??”
“Chacha baby,” Gackt cooed sweetly, “We will worry about that when we get home. For now you have to be quiet. Your daughter is asleep in the backseat.” Chacha shut up after that, and Gackt drove. It was a short drive to their home.
The house was a beautiful mansion type house. It looked more like a museum than a house. It was bigger than anything I had ever seen. We walked into a room before entering the real house. We took off our shoes and came into the home. There were white walls everywhere and a VERY very modern looking house. Gackt walked us to a guest room and layed Jenna down in a bed. Thankfully she didn't wake at all and calmly laid down and curled into a blanket.
"Would you like your own room, Rita?" Gackt asked me kindly.
I shook my head no and said, “I would like to stay with Jenna please. She will get scared if she wakes alone in a new place.”
“Ungrateful little brat,” Chacha spat as he left the room in disgust. Gackt sighed toward his lover and gently kissed my head.
Then we were finally left alone. Alone in a big room, in a big house, with two new dads. Let the strangeness flow and our life get worse.
