I stepped out of the plane and into the grey, carpeted, unloading platform. I held my carry-on over my shoulder as I took in the smell of Ireland.
As I was walking, someone bumped into my shoulder, almost knocking me to the ground. He turned to me as I struggled to keep balance. He leaned over and caught my arm and I straightened. I adjusted my glasses and looked up.
"Sorry." His voice was smooth, with a thick Irish accent. When my horrible vision decided to focus, I saw his blue eyes. And his blonde hair. And every other thing that makes him Niall freaking Horan.
"I-I-I-It's fine." Really? That's a nice stutter Raeleigh. He reached down and picked up my carry on that I dropped.
"Where ya headed?"
"Uh- um... Baggage claim?" I mumbled, mentally facepalming. Obviously that's not what he meant. He chuckled.
"Alright." He grinned at me and I blushed. That easy? My god Rae. "Y-You don't have to hold that. " I looked from his eyes to my carry on bag in his hand and back to his eyes.
"It's only fair. I nearly made you fall."
I nodded
"I'm Nial-"
"I-I know." I mumbled
"You a fan?"
"You could say that." Yes. And a big one.
"What's your name then?"
"R-Raeleigh." I answered. My smile was growing. I hadn't smiled since I caught my boyfriend with the cheer leading captain. The cheer leading captain of the HIGH SCHOOL. My OLD high school. We graduated. he's almost 20. She's 17. And it was on our first anniversary. He doesn't know I saw them. We are still together, and that was about a week ago. Yep love you too Blake. *cough* asshole *cough.*
"That's a beautiful name. For a beautiful girl." He smiled at me and I blushed completely uncontrollably. He was also blushing. He was nervous, I could tell. But... Why? I mean I'm sure my face was bright red. Niall freaking Horan just called me beautiful...
No I'm dreaming. I'm still on the plane and I fell asleep. We exited the unloading platform and entered the beautiful airport.
"Whoa." I whispered.
"Never been to this airport before?" He laughed and handed me my bag.
"No, haven't been home in years actually."
"Where's home?"
"Kinnegad, about an hour from here. "
"You sound British..." he looked utterly confused.
"Y-yeah I moved to Manchester before high school. I picked up the accent after four years I guess."
He nodded. "We're headed the same way." I know. Yes, I'm one of those fans. But also one of the fans people say 'isn't a fan' because I'm too 'old.' 19 Really? They're just jealous because I have a better chance with the boys. Well, Niall anyway.
The baggage conveyor belt came into view. I saw my unmistakable dark purple suitcase about to go back in. "No no no.' I said whilst sprinting to it and, with difficulty, pulled it off before it went back. Niall was chuckling as he walked over and pulled his of with ease.
I sighed and leaned against my suitcase: bad idea. It started to fall. Great.
Niall reached his arms out and caught me, easily. "I-I..." I looked around awkwardly as he helped me stand back up.
"How many times do I have to catch you?" He said, smiling. I opened my mouth to reply but nothing came out. Another mental facepalm. My god, that boy. I can gush about him all day to my friends but when its actually him. Nope.
I ran my fingers in my straight, orange, ombre, hair. But the fact that its too long caused it to fall in my face. Ok not that long, around high stomach. I tucked it behind my ear. I saw him staring at me. My face was hot. More blushing.
"Um... I should go my brother will wonder where I am..." trailed off.
"Of course. But... can I... I mean... Do you want a picture or something?"
"Do I really strike you as that kind of-" I stopped my self. Yes. Just tell him yes. "Yes, that'd be great."
He pulled his phone out o his pocket, holding it in front of us. I semi-smiled and he smiled as he took it. I checked the time. "I really have to go." I started walking away. But glanced at back at him before he dissapeared from me.
