I closed my eyes and braced myself, waiting for the punch, but all I heard were two "oof!" sounds. I opened my eyes and saw a glowing figure standing protectively in front of me.
Julia....
But this wasn't the Julia I knew. She had changed...drastically.
Her once golden hair was now a deep black color, with ram horns curling around the sides of her head. The cute red dress she wore was now a female warriors outfit...just a little more revealing. It was a metal breast plate that covered pretty much only her stomach, and a short metal skirt that didn't look in the least bit comfortable. Large black demon wings sprouted from behind her, furling and unfurling in anger.
"DoN't HuRt HiM!" Julia giggled in a demonic voice. Everybody in the cafeteria went silent and wide-eyes as they watched her. "He'S mY tIcKeT oUtTa HeRe! I nEeD hIm AlIvE fOr My ReVeNgE oN PaPa!"
"Julia, stop this," I commanded, coming out of my shock. "This isn't the Julia I know." Julia turned towards me., and my jaw dropped at her face...or more so her eyes.
One eye was the familiar blue-grey I had become accustomed to, but the other was red. And I mean everything, from the iris to the pupil, was a blood red color.
"WhAt CoUlD yOu PoSsIbLy KnOw, KyLe? YoU hAvE bEeN tAlKiNg To SoMeOnE wHo ClAiMs To Be DeAd...HoW dO yOu KnOw YoUn cAn TrUsT mE?" She giggled again, grinning like a madman.
"Because you were the one who told me the truth. You told me what your father did to you, and I appreciated it. You trusted me enough to tell me what was wrong, even though we had just met. Julia...I know that this isn't you. Give me back the kind, sweet Julia I've known for less than a day," I closed my eyes as I chuckled at the last part, and realized that someone else had joined in. I opened my eyes at the last part and saw Julia...who was back to normal!
"S-sorry about the whole "demon-lady" thing...I didn't even know I could do that."
"Maybe it's because I'm here...?"
"Pffft! I'll believe it in three thousand millenniums."
"Rude."
"I try." Julia smiled. "But in all honesty, thank you. I don't know if I could have controlled her if you hadn't been here."
"Her?"
"Well, it wasn't exactly me, was it? I feel like we should just dub it as 'her' for right now."
"Or Jewl."
"Jewl?"
"Short for Julia."
"Clever."
"I try," I mocked in a sassy voice, doing a fake hair flip. Julia smiled fondly at me."Umm, bro?" Dylan's voice interrupted our moment. "What--or who--was that, why did it disappear, and why are you talking to the spot where it once was?"
"Oh, um..." I bit my lip nervously.
Should I? I asked Julia telepathically.
No! she mind-shouted at me, Or at least not in front of everybody here. I...feel an aura coming from him. It's...comforting. I feel as if we can trust him. Take him somewhere private. I have a feeling we won't be safe for long. Run to your house and lock every door and shut every window before you talk to him.
Gotcha
"Bro? You there?" I blinked out of my stupor as I noticed Dylan was waving a hand in front of my face, a concerned look on his. "You spaced out for a moment there."
"Yea, I'm good..." I looked up and saw a man in a mask running into the cafeteria, looking around before running to me.
"RUN!" Julia screamed, pulling on my arm. I grabbed Dylan's arm and dragged him with me as I followed Julia.
"Where are we going?!" he shouted, trying to stand up.
"No time! We need to run!" Out of breath, he just ran alongside me.-------

The door to my apartment locked closed, as Dylan and I tried to catch our breath. I turned around and came face-to-face with my apartment--or what was left of it. The whole place was trashed, furniture was upside down, trash was littered around, and the wall paper had scratches across it.
"What happened here?!" I cried.
Look for anything valuable. If you find a gold necklace with a pearl in the middle, grab it and get out of here. But what happened to my home?!
The Hunters. A group of people who search for ghosts like me who are looking for revenge. You need to get what I told you and book it with Dylan.
I nodded my head and ran around my house trying to find the stuff she told me to grab.
"Bro, what's going on?"
"When I first moved here I saw a ghost girl in my room. You know that one girl who committed suicide, like, 100 years ago?"
"150, actually."
"Whatever. Basically, that was the ghost I saw in my room. She didn't kill herself, though. Her father murdered her and now she wants revenge...somehow. If I don't help her, her soul will never rest and I'll be haunted forever."
"Then why am I here?"I found the necklace Julia talked about and stuffed it into the bag I had grabbed while I was talking.
"I don't know, but I have a feeling it has something to do with that guy we saw in the cafeteria. He's a hunter, someone who traps ghosts like Julia, then they can't get revenge and their souls won't rest." I looked at Dylan. "Come on. We're leaving."
IM ALLLIIIIIVVVVEEE!!!! Sorry it took so long and this chapter is so short, but I'm experiencing writers block, and I can't create any new ideas. So, this book and most of my others will be on hold until I can come up with new ideas. If you want to help me, commenting ideas would be appreciated! Thanks for waiting for the fourth chapter of this crappy book, and see you once I get over my baka writers block!
Buh bye!
