"Please, Eli! Be careful with your new dress. We just sewed it!"
Eli sighed. She hated trying on dresses. She'd rather be in a boat, on the ocean. But no. She had to be trying on dresses.
"Come on Mom, it's been like, 4 hours of trying on dresses. Can we stop?" the blonde complained.
"No. A princess must always look her best. Now, how about this one?"
Her Mother grabbed a light blue dress with gold cuffs on the neck, wrist, and bottom of her dress (imagine Merida's dress from brave).
"How do you like this one?" her mother asked.
The blonde spun around in the mirror, and admired herself.
"It's ok I guess," Eli sighed.
"Oh, Eli dear, you look so young! And very clever, too. You'd make a perfect princess," the mother gushed.
"But, Mom, I don't wanna be a princess. I want to be like Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid. I want to be in a boat. I want to sail the seas. I want to discover new things. Why won't you let me?" the blonde complained
"Because, princesses are supposed to be in a castle, marry a prince, and live happily ever after. That's the way the world works, Eli" the mother replied.
"But Mom, Prince Eric WAS a prince who was a mariner. I want to be like him," Eli snapped back.
"If you're so keen on being a mariner, why don't you run off and go in the sea in your boat?!" the mother yelled.
"FINE. I WILL!" Eli ran out of her room, out of the castle, and out to her boat. There, she got her boat ready, and set sail to sea.
