I woke up
the morning sun bursting through the shutters
forcing themselves to fall
on my pale white skin
illuminating my sullen glow
engulfing everything around me
with such brightness
I couldn't help but smile
yet ironically,
the same bluntness surrounded me
a small room
lonely
in silence
again.
what another day
to be alive.
