I was in my dad's office.A light vanilla color folder was in my dad's face. he examined it for a while and them looked at me. he looked.. happy ? I couldn't process it. My dad was always a business person. Never risked anything. He was a major risk taker that I admired but it wasn't something I was fond of a lot. I swallow a nervous lump in my throat before my dad started to talk. Clearing his voice to "aware" me why I'm here.

"Savannah, how would you like to "work" ? Putting air quote on work. What is he trying to do. Fire his OWN daughter from this job ? I couldn't. I wouldn't. I ain't

"Work for what ?" I spoke back. I was already anger and he didn't tell me his explanation and I was getting angry. I'm old enough to actually make my own decisions and he has to dictate me like I'm a little kid.

"There's a position that I think you would LOVE to take over as..." His voice was drifting off. He wanted to to fall for something stupid like this. Me being me, I was curious about what this "mysterious" job.

I quickly gave in and wanted to know more.

"So what this this 'mystery' position ? It's not the gun room right ? I hate that room with all those weapons and all the people armed." I say as my dad lightly chuckled. I raised an eye brow. Completely confused.

"No, it's not the gun room. If I WAS, you would feel protected you know. The position is actually training everybody in the training room."

I. Was. Annoyed.

"Dad, we both know    know how good I am in track and field but isn't there any other position I could take over ?"

"Sweety, Mason wasn't feeling good and he isn't "undercover" so he has to be in the shadows right now. I really need you to fill in for him."

Wow, I have never seen my dad actually begging me. It's always "you have to" or "you  have no choice." This time he's asking nicely and acknowledging that he does have a heart. I had to agree. It could be fun to turn this "team" of my dad's and put a twist to it.

" I would love to dad." I said standing up from my chair at this point.

" Thank you so much captain. We would love to have you aboard." He stuck out his hand for a hand shake and and I accepted. Not only this is the best day, I'm captain. I guess tomorrow is going to be the next challenge. The boys listening.
