Callie's POV

Everything was perfect for those short minutes. I had't felt so happy in years. "Thank you" I mouth to Mariana as Brandon is faced the other way not looking at me.

Sadly the slow song ends and a more upbeat song comes on. We stay out on the floor dancing to "Moves Like Jagger."

After that song and two others play, Brandon says, "I got to go. I will be right back."

He had been gone for 15 minutes then the curtains on the stage open up and Brandon and his band were up there like they were going to perform. I hear Brandon come up to the mic and say, "This song is dedicated to Callie Jacob. She didn't have the best beginning, but that doesn't mean you don't have to have a great middle and happy ending. I hope you have a happy birthday!"

A smile immediately rushed to my face as I stood and listened to what they were about to play.

I applauded so loud that you could hear me a mile away. He come down off from the stage and gave me a hug tears were streaming down my face.

"Brandon, that was amazing."

"When we were 16, did you love me?"

"How am I supposed to remember that long ago?" I say trying to deny the truth.

He gives me a serious glare. "Callie, did you?"

"Yes... even at the Winter Ball, Metropolis I loved you."

I can see on stage that the band had taken a break, so we got to play the stereo. Love Somebody came on.

"Callie Jacob, may I have this dance?" He said sarcastically while bowing then putting his hand out.

"Why of course you may." I say as I play along.
