That was the last straw! Scarlette finally had enough of her so called fiance, he was nothing but a sleaze bag! Not only had he slept around on her, but now he had knocked another woman up! He had no loyalty to her and she had enough of trying to forgive him. He was never going to change he was nothing but a no good lazy skunk, and smell just as bad. He never tried to keep himself clean and with her sensitive nose it smelled 10x worse than a normal person. On top of that he made her work, cook and clean never lifting a finger to help her instead he stay home all day do nothing but play on his phone or go out drinking, where he pick up some bimbo to sleep with. Usually some blonde who would use cheap candy perfume, which would be all over his clothes when he return home. He always denied being with someone but she could smell the perfume along with stink of sex on him.
But the final straw came when one of those bimbos showed up at there doorstep with a newborn baby in her arms saying she was looking for him, because this was his child. Scarlette look down at the bundle and could see he looked a little like him but the defining moment is she could tell some of his scent was on the baby. She never understood how she could tell that but her nose had never lied to her yet or her gut instinct. She felt sorry for the stupid woman having a child with him so she took off her engagement ring and gave it to her saying:
"Use it for the child cause that man will never do anything to help you....."
She looked at the ring and looked back up at Scarlette confused but with hint of anger, like the first time she was told by her friend that her fiance cheated on her, but she should have listened. In the end she burnt all her bridges with her friends so she was all alone. This wasn't her first time feeling so lonely, all those years going from group home to group home but now wasn't time to get into a long memory of her past. She had to pack up everything she could carry into her car before he got home leaving him high and dry to fend for himself. She would withdraw all her money from the bank closing the account and cutting the cards so he wouldn't be to live off the money she had been saving. She felt the slight tinge of pleasure thinking how he would squirm finding out he had no one to rely on probably find someone else to mooch off, but that wasn't her problem.
She packed her suitcases with all her clothes, not leaving a single scrap of clothing along with what little things she owned the house. She took them out to her mustang convertible, which was under her name and not the bastards. She finally packed her clothes, nicknacks and all the snacks from her house since she was the one who bought them. Along with the rest of the bread, lunch meat and other stuff to make sandwiches. Packing an ice chest with all the ice from the freezer. She took everything she bought that was non perishable items from the house. He didn't need it, she had bought them with every right to take them. Finally she took what she could carry packed in bags and boxes. It wasn't much, but then again she didn't need alot of junk from her old life to clutter up her new she was about to begin. This time she wasn't going to fall for the first guy who gave her the slightest bit of attention. No, she was gonna be more picky to make she wasn't going to be used again. Too many times had she let people use her and leave her high dry, but now was a turning point in her life to end this cycle. She thought about all of this as she was packing her mustang with her belongings and what food she could take. She wasn't going to leave a note for the skunk, just the place empty without her in it. No dinner will be ready when he returns, not a cold beer waiting. This time he has to do shit for himself, get his own damn beer along with cooking his own dinner. She felt satisfied with this decision, she had longed to get away from the city for a while now. The smells of exhaust, tar and all the horrible smells that make a city made her nose burn. She doesn't know how she stood it this for long, she longed to smell the fresh air of the country side perfumed with scent of flowers, trees and the smell of earth. Many night she had dreams of running through a forest seeing the moon high above her and the earth under her feet. Hopefully now she could finally full fill that dream and be free once more. Once she was satisfied getting everything out she wanted, she would give the place a once over leaving it the way it was. It wasn't clean, but she wasn't going to trash the place either. Yeah she feel better having him clean a huge mess but that probably have the cops after her. On a second thought she decided to leave a note so he couldn't put a missing person on her as well. Last thing she needs to pulled over cause of that, she started to write a simple note:
"Well this is it, I'm tired of being treated poorly and your lying. Simple fact I'm not marrying you and I am leaving. I left anything of value in the house except for my stuff and what ever I bought. You can fend for yourself and sleep with anyone you want. It's not my problem anymore. Bye forever"She would leave the note on the door after locking up and placing her key through the mail slot. He may not have done this for her, but she wasn't going to stoop to his level. His bad karma would catch up with him on his time. She walked down the small steps to her mustang climbing inside to head to the bank to close out her account for good. She didn't wanted any trace of her to be left behind, she was gonna disappear so no one can find her.
She was only gonna use cash on her journey, didn't need to make a trail just in case the skunk wanted to find her begging for her forgiveness, but there was none to give nor did she want too. He burned away any sympathy she had left for the asshole.
She drove to the other side of town to her bank walking inside calm and collective. She would smile as the bank teller greeted her.Bank teller: "How can I help you today ma'am?"
Scarlette would smile, "Yes, I would like to withdraw all my money in cash and close my bank account out."
Bank teller raised an eyebrow but still smiled giving a generic response.
"I'm sorry to see you leaving us, I will get someone to help you. If you please have a seat they will be with you in a moment."Scarlette smiled saying thank you taking a seat waiting for a person to help her to process the closing her account out. A few moments later a young woman peered out her office door calling her name and having her come into her office.
"Hello, I heard your wanting to close out your bank account with us. I'm sorry to hear that, if I may ask any particular reason you are closing your account out?"Scarlette smiled giving a simple answer not to raise any suspicion.
"My fiance and I had a falling out. I found a new home in another town so I no longer need your services."The woman nodded as she started typing away on her computer.
"I totally understand, sometimes things don't work. Again we are sorry to lose your business you have been a loyal customer with us for many years."Scarlette nodded, "Yes I am gonna miss this place, but things didn't work out. So we decided to go our separate ways and I move out so he can keep the place."
She would nod doing more questions and taking care of important paperwork to get everything closed. She had some money saved up, a good chunk but who needs to know the exact amount. She had enough to get her far away from this place and get started somewhere else. She would thank the woman and be on her way. She would go to the store for the few essentials before gassing up and heading out of the city.
Finally her journey began with the open road in front of her and nothing but time on her hands to recuperate her body, mind and soul. Her heart pounded a bit but it wasn't fear but excitement to be free at last. No longer tied down by normal life. Now she could do what she wanted and live her life.
She soon took an exit heading towards the country side taking back roads instead of main highways, she was going to enjoy the journey of discovery.
What little did she know fate had a plan in store for her something would change her life drastically.
