One year later: February 2nd - 8:45 pm
There's only a few months left until I'm crowned King of South Korea, and my mother scolded me to find a wife to help me rule. The girl I met tonight isn't all that bad, but it's obvious by the way she carries herself that she only wants what's in my pockets. Her raven hair is cut perfectly at the shoulders, and the red dress she is wearing is all too flashy. I understand classy, but never flashy.
My interest in this one is maybe thirty percent out of one hundred. Her humor really captivates me, and I feel like I could laugh with her for hours, but besides her jokes she doesn't really land with me. I want to end this date on an okay note so she doesn't feel distraught about my rejection. I smile at the waitress who handed me the check.
"Oh, I'll pay." She smiled lightly at me and reached her manicured fingers out to swipe the check up. It's a nice gesture, but I must refuse.
I shake my head and take the check myself, "You don't need to pay. I invited you for a date, sweetheart. It's only fair." I grin back at her and she nods as an okay. I pay for the meal and stand, removing my napkin from my lap, and placing it onto the table. "Let me drive you home." I said as the young lady strolls by my side.
We reach the parking lot and my car is parked a few yards away. She stares up at me with wide eyes, and I see the obvious blush on her cheeks. "No, thank you. I have my car over there." She points no where in specific besides behind her, and I wave her off with a small grin.
"Okay, be safe." I bow just barely toward her, but she falls the complete ninety degree. I can't help but chuckle at her cute gesture.
I sigh after a long night of dealing with a female's high pitched, squeaky voice in my ear. I can still hear her fork scratching laugh, but at least the jokes were funny. Once again, woman number 49 is not the one for me. I still have a lot to go, sadly. My car blinks it's headlights twice to let me know it is unlocked, and I open my door.
After pulling out of the parking lot and onto the highway my mind feels the need to remember things. "Stella, what's today?" I ask my car and she responds with: "February the second. Two thousand and seventeen." My hands turn cold as I remember what exactly happened a year ago today.
My father was assassinated and still no one has been charged. Instead of focusing on the fact that a red light clearly flashed for me to stop, I continue to think long and hard about my father and boom. My car collides with another and luckily for me I wasn't injured so badly. The other car stopped quick enough. My nose did bleed out of shock though and my head bruised from hitting the steering wheel so hard.
For some reason, I couldn't let go of the wheel. My pale hands still gripped it as tightly as they could. I burst in tears, overwhelmed and shocked. "I was gonna die..." I cried to myself and whispered for my dad to come and save me.
Police sirens and firetrucks arrive at the incident and drag me out of my car, gasping. "It's Prince Jeon Jungkook! Someone get him into the ER, quickly!" The authority surrounding drop their jaws and pull me to a gurney with all the speed they have.
I'm not injured that badly at all though. The person in the other car is what matters. "What about the-" I am hushed and told I didn't have to speak right now. Why is it because I wear some dumb title that I'm sent to help faster than the poor soul who is probably severely injured in the other car? It all just doesn't make sense to me.
February 3rd - 11:02 am
The person in the other car ended up being a middle aged man in his late thirties. He was injured badly with a sprained neck, two broken legs, and a bruised forehead. I believe it was maybe because he tried saving me instead of himself. I felt so horrible, I paid for his hospital stay and 10,000$ extra to do whatever he pleased. I'm so grateful.
