"Riley, we're going to be late!" Topanga yelled as Riley swiped her last line of mascara. "I'm coming!" Riley yells back as she rushes down the marble staircase, her high heels clicking on the stoned stairs. Riley rushes to the car waiting outside for her.

"You look beautiful," Topanga tells her while Riley climbs into the Mercedes. "Remember, good posture, nice smile, and manners." Topanga reminds Riley.

Riley sighed.

Riley would hear those three phases, over and over. She'd spend many nights being perfect. Being the perfect daughter. Being ladylike. She had worked hard to get good grades. To excel in dance.

"It's a big night for your father," Topanga said. Riley new it was a big. But she knew it would be like any other formal event...boring. The adults would drink sips of expensive champagne, they'd eat crab cakes, and talk about finances.

"There will be a young man I think you should talk once we arrive, you know James Gardener, dad's business partner, his son's name is Charlie Gardener, I would like you to try to be friends with him," Topanga mentions.

"Mom, are you trying to set me up?" Riley asks with a giggle.

"No, he's just a nice young man I think-" Topanga is cut off by Riley's laughter. "Stop that!" Topanga tries to calm her down. "I'm sorry, I will try to talk to him," Riley calms down.

"I will not date him though," Riley says trying not to be sassy. "Give him a try," Topanga nudges as they drive up to the M&G Country Club.

Riley brushes herself off and prepares for the most boring night of her life.

"Sir, I really don't get why I have to go, it's a bunch of rich people eating fancy food, drinking expensive wine, and talking about the most boring subjects." Lucas argues with his dad while he buttons his suit.

"It's important that you are there, we supply them fresh food all the time and it could become permanent if you impress those city folks tonight. Now, let me see you." Nick Friar talks to his son.

Lucas shows him in his suit.

"Good, now, go make me proud." Nick nods his head at Lucas. "And if you can, find yourself a rich girlfriend." Nick reminds Lucas. "I'm not talking to any of those spoiled rich kids, they're all, a bunch of heartless people who will I never talk to, if I find one I like you can shoot me," Lucas says as he walks out the door.

45 (long) minutes later

"I hear taxes could go up 5% in the year on farmers," One of the two men who Lucas was "talking" to at the time. "I don't believe it," The second man shook his head and that was the last thing Lucas heard when his eyes wondered.

Lucas looked around the room. Just what he thought, boring rich people. He looks at his watch, two more boring hours.

Lucas sighed.

His eyes wonders, around the room of the boring, rich, and tired. His eyes settled on the long brunette hair that was stopped in the middle of her back. Below the long hair, a red silk dressed stopped at her knees, the dress wrapped around her skinny body loosely, but close to her skin. Her toned arms were warm colored, but a little pale. She turned around. His heart skipped a beat once he saw her chocolate brown eyes, surround by beautiful eyelashes. Her lips were pink and plump. Her nose was cute and tiny.
