LAUREN: john are you okay?

JOHNNY BOY: i think i am. How is June holding up?

LAUREN: her tears stained my dress

JOHNNY BOY: oh

LAUREN: i had to comfort her for an hour. Which I don't mind, I just.

JOHNNY BOY: I'm in shock too

LAUREN: one moment, we were all chilling in the living room and the next, i hear June crying in the other room and found her on the floor.

JOHNNY BOY: oh my god.

LAUREN: yeah. She finally went to bed once I started singing to her

JOHNNY BOY: you sing to her?

LAUREN: when she was little, she never went sleep. She was very hyper and nothing would help expect when I sang her a lullaby.

JOHNNY BOY: and it still works?

LAUREN: i guess. It calmed her down.

JOHNNY BOY: i know this sounds crazy but can you?

LAUREN: can I what?

JOHNNY BOY: sing to me. Help me get some sleep.

LAUREN: on FaceTime?

JOHNNY BOY: yeah.

Lauren went to contacts and hit John's number to FaceTime. It didn't take long for her to wait. He picked up right away.
His image showed him in bed, luckily with his clothes on, chilling. She guessed his phone was against his alarm clock, holding it on him.
"Hi, Laur."
"Hi, John."
"Any music selections?" She asked.
"Give me a preview to Heathers?"
"Sure but just to warn, my voice might be really bad," Lauren warned.
John laughed, "I'm sure it's not."
As John snuggled into his bed, Lauren thought of a song she could sing that was appropriate.
"Hey, Mr. No name kid. Say who might you be? And could you fight for me. Hey, could you face the crowd. Could you be seen with me and still act proud?"
Lauren could see John smiling even when he laid on his back. His eyes were shut as she continued to sing.
"Hey could you hold my hand
and could carry me through no mans land. It's fine if you don't agree but I would fight for you if you would fight for me."
When she finished the last line, John began to snore, confirming that he was asleep. She gleamed and was about to reach to turn off FaceTime by then stopped. Her smile kept on her face as she plugged in her phone with 20% charge and turned off her light on her dresser. Lauren laid on her side and held her eyes shut. She still heard John's snoring but it didn't bother her as she fell to sleep.
