After all I didn't regret accepting Taehyung's offer. Indeed, he chose a great place to buy coffee in the morning.
"I hope you like this place." Taehyung said with a warm smile.
"It's a nice place. It reminds me of my hometown, especially those pictures..."
"Your hometown? Where are you from?"
"Daegu. And you?"
His eyes lit up hearing my answer. "I'm from Daegu, too."
"What?" I gasped. "I know Daegu's not a small town but what a coincidence."
"Yes. Did you choose something?""How often do you go here?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "Once or twice a week. Why?"
"What's the best here?"
"If you listen to me, you will order Café au lait. Simple but so good."
"I will beat you up, if it's not that great. Prepare yourself." I laughed.
I realized I was too hard on Taehyung. He was just a goofy, cute boy whom I misjudged. He wasn't annoying like I wanted to believe.
"How often do you or will you go home?" He asked as he was drumming with his fingers on the table.
"I would like to go home every second week along with my two idiots." I replied, letting out a chuckle.
"Your brother and Hoseok? You three have your own dimension."
"We are not that weird."
"Hoseok is the weird one."
"Why do you think that?"
"He's not your brother but he acts like one."
"He's my best friend and the closest person to me, of course he cares about me."
"You really are clueless." Taehyung sighed.
I thought I needed to change the topic. I couldn't bare if someone dissed nor my brother nor Hoseok.
"So you are a delivery guy." I stated.
"Yes, I am. Did you like the pizza last time?" He grinned at me and I was satisfied, I could switch the mood of our conversation.
"Yes, I did. I don't want to offend you but you looked like a creepy guy who wanted to kidnap me in my sleep."
He laughed and it was so strange. This guy had a baby face yet he had a manly voice.
"I would never do that."
"You aren't convincing me."
"I wish I could."
The rest of our 'date' passed just fine. Taehyung was surprisingly talkative and funny. I was happy to befriend him.
"See you soon." I said when I came back.
I hardly returned the apartment when I heard my ringtone. I didn't hesitate to answer the call, Hobi called me up.
"Yes?"
"Where the hell were you?"
"I was meeting with someone."
"Was it a girl?"
I didn't want to admit it was a boy.
"Yes."
"Then Kim Taehyung is a girl, right?"
How? How did he knew I was with him?
"Okay. I was with him, so what?"
"He looks like an idiot."
"You look like an idiot, too."
On the other side, I heard him chuckling.
"I love how you are roasting me like your brother. That's the only thing in common for you two."
"And you are our best friend, so that's also mutual."
"You can't leave me as perfect buddy as I am."
"I think it's time to hung up..."
"HEY, WAIT." Hobi screamed on phone, almost making me drop the device.
"Hobi!"
"Be careful with him." He said in a strange voice. Was it sadness? I thought it was impossible. We were friends, friends for life. We always had been friends. Now he was giving me strange thoughts on our perfectly fine friendship.
"Why are you worrying that much?"
"I'm not worrying but I don't want anyone to hurt our precious little star."
"Do you call the girls around you like that?"
"You're hopeless. But now I'm gonna work, bye." He hang up, not waiting for my farewell.
Why did Jung Hoseok say cheesier and cheesier things lately?
