"So how was rehearsal?" Carley asks, her voice muffled by the sound of rushing water.
"It was swell." He walks up to the door of the bathroom and knocks on it, "What are you doing in there?" his suspicion rising.
"Nothing~" She replies in a musical tone, confirming his suspicion. He stands by the door ans sighs,
"Technically it wasn't even a rehearsal, because for this week I'll be competing against somebody for the role." He utters, "I'll be making dinner." He gets up and walks to the kitchen. Groaning he slumps and slams his head against the counter,
"What could be so bad that you'd do that?" Carley asks, and Manu looks up at his now ginger sister. He groans even louder and flops onto the floor. "Oh stop being like that. I'm sure it can't be all that bad." He looks at her,
"Just go clean up that huge mess I know you made. I'll make dinner." He says staring up at her. She looks at him in disbelief and he smiles crookedly, "I promise." She helps him up and reluctantly leaves. He gets out the knives and turns on the stove eye and begins to cook the meal. He smiles shortly after getting his rhythm going, but is stopped after being yanked by his bag, and thrown violently onto the floor. He rubs his head and looks at the contents that had spilled out, one of them being a book he had never seen before. He examines it, no title, no author, no explanation or anything. He opens it and there were no words in it, he continued to flip through but nothing appeared or was shown. It wasn't until he noticed a red mark appear, he felt his ear. A wet substance laced it, and upon his discovery it was his blood. And as if it was what it needed, the book started to glow, and the pages began to float out of the book. Time seems to stop and the pages began to swirl around him.
