Destiny's POV:
"Tell me something Caroline would have said at least right now"
"Girl I don't know what reason is behind you dancing, but you should keep going"
My breath is cut short and my eyes swell with tears at the recognition.
"B-But how?? I saw a body lying in the floor on the floor--"
"A body that was not mine then, because when I saw my ex I quickly found a place to hide and luckily he was past when I checked again. Then I realized my phone was at the apartment and I had to take rapid decisions" she explained
"But still I am not convinced, you'll have to give me some time to process" I tensed to let the sentence out of my mouth.
"Okay. If you need anything, I will be here for you as always" the imposter said
Without any other word exchanged, I ran out of the apartment with my stuff. I soon see myself knocking at Jake's door
I am soon invited to a giggle coming from the inside but I did not bother to leave as fast as possible.
If I am not his best achievement, then it was a pleasure to meet Jake.
I soon am walking to my car and got back to reality to the sound of my phone, looking at the caller id, I proceeded to get in the car and head straight to the airport. Since I will be going to the Dance Academy of UCLA specialized in movement then I move to LA so it could be easier. My phone soon gets blown with countless calls and messages from the diva Jake. But obviously, I leave his messages on my blue jacket. I arrive in LA quickly, reminding myself I got carried away by overthinking the whole situation.
Jake was anxious to know where Destiny was, he searched everywhere. Her house, the club, and even tried calling her but the line sounded occupied. My blood ran cold when I remembered the conversation we had about going to college and I believe that is the reason behind why she left but really certain it is that. I quickly sped homemade my suitcase and took the first plane to LA without even asking her.
Meanwhile, these two were just as confused as Caroline back at her flat. She took her stuff and moved. She changed her name because she had the feeling to start fresh. Life gave her a second opportunity and she wasn't going to waste it.
2 and a half months later
Everyone was in different rhythms, Caroline or Jaykaylee more known as a cashier at a local supermarket. She made a few friends, but now was crushing on a guy named Ezequiel. Tall man, dark brown hair, green eyes, slightly tanned skin (Matthew Daddario as Ezequiel Gonzalez). Ezequiel liked Jaykaylee as well but was a bit shy to admit it. So one day, she was organizing some plastic fruit bowls on the shelves and she suddenly heard someone singing her all-time favorite song 'Stereo hearts'-Gym Class Heroes, Travis Mccoy, and Adam Levine and the precise part saying
'I only pray you'll never leave me behind
Never leave me
Because good music can be so hard to find
So hard to find-
She immediately arrived on the other aisle and sang along
' I take your head and pull it closer to mine
My love was dead but now I'm changing my mind'
Ezequiel was taken aback when he heard Jaykaylee sing. He didn't know she owned such beautiful talent. When she stopped, he smiled at her and walked towards her "You now owe me something" "And what that might be?" "A date and a karaoke showdown" She stood there frozen at a loss of words. "That would be incredible" He smiled, kissed her cheek, and disappeared to check if there was something else to do. Jaykaylee walked to the isle she was before singing along and smiled at the sudden moment with Ezequiel. Just as she finished her task, she receives a call from an unknown number and she answers
"Hello?"
"I'm sorry for blocking you out of my life for 2 months. I was shocked you are alive I mean I did see a body carried out of my apartment"
"Destiny, that wasn't me. I-If that wasn't me, who was it?"
"I don't know either, I'll find out more to see if this finally has any logical sense"
"Okay, speak to you soon. I am at work"
"Okay, I'll visit you soon."
Her confusion consumed every single theory that came upon her mind. The situation itself felt really bizarre and ambiguous. So she decided to continue working. Her following task was to be a cashier. She was almost all day there, and still, Ezequiel was on the other lane looking at her as if she was a masterpiece. Finishing with a customer, she looks up to meet his gaze screaming adoration. She blushes and finally closes her lane. He does the same as they walked to the clock and mark their departure from the grocery store. Ezequiel stops her
"Hi Jaykaylee, I wanted to talk to you to see if you wanted to go out with me sometime?"
She freezes at her spot and smiles widely at him
"I'd love to, Ezequiel"
He smiles widely and approaches her slowly to kiss her forehead and leaves
She opens her eyes and walks to her classic style Volkswagen beetle to immediately call Destiny to catch up. As Destiny was on speaker, Caroline was blushing and smiling at the same time knowing her beautiful prince likes her back. Desi, the nickname she always had for her cousin, finished telling her what she did for the last 2 months and now honestly she couldn't wait to tell her the news. "Desi, I have tea for you"
"Lucky, I am currently eating popcorn so spill"
"While you were away, I got a job at the grocery store and met a guy named Ezequiel. He is an ultimate dream, Des. Precisely today he was singing in the following isle I was assigned and was singing my all-time favorite song. And he asked out on a date and Desy, it finally happened. I think I met the right guy finally"
She heard a slight sniffle from the other line and heard a happy squeal
"See? I told you could find the right guy. As for me, I met Jake and we are together right now. He is laying his head on my lap watching the movie"
Caroline smiled widely and felt joy to finally hear Destiny happy with what she does.
"Desy, I'll call you this Sunday again okay? I just arrived at my flat safe and sound."
"Good, yeah that's great. Tell me everything about that date of yours, and need a picture from Ezequiel to see what he looks like"
"Okay, deal. Bye"
"Bye Jay"
She steps out of the car and smiles at the previous events at the grocery store.

Hey guys. It has been quite a while. Me being a senior implies having 4 projects running, a test next week, a quiz, a PowerPoint/ interview due, and taking the CollegeBoard the following Saturday. Which will mean I will be barely active here or on any app on my phone. And have to deal with a lot of drama. But I always look ahead for the tea so anyways how have you guys been?
