I can hear machines around me.
The beeping and the hissing of machines.
It’s noisy and I can hear mom crying.
I can’t feel anything. My body is all numb and all I can see is a bright light and the shadow of the doctor who is shocking me with a defibrillator.
“Natsuki!! Please! Don’t leave mommy! Please! Open your eyes for mommy. I need you. Don’t leave me. Please …”
“M-mo-o-mom… F-fi-fiyuu?”
“Fiyuu isn’t here honey... Please!! Doctor! Do whatever you can to save my son! Please!”
“We are doing the best we can ma’am. His lungs are too weak now. He ….”
I can’t hear anything clearly. My eyes feel heavy. I’m tired, I want to sleep.
“G-goodnight M-mom”
“Natsuki!!!”
*toooooooooot __^_____^______^_________________________________________________________
“Fiyuu? You look beautiful as always.”
“Natsuki. I have been waiting for you ^^”
“Where are we?”
“This is going to be our new secret base! Do you like it?”
“I love it! I guess 2,500 years doesn’t have to wait after all.”
“Didn’t we promise that we will always see each other? not even death can keep us apart. And to add up, time can’t keep us apart *giggles. Shall we?”
I reached for Fiyuu’s hand. Still warm and I still feel safe like before. At last, my dream has come true. Together with Fiyuu.
Forever and always.
