Yatta's POV
"You ain't never getting that, nigga" KE and Tiggz laughed and I shook my head.
My cousin Jasmine had brought along her friend Mamé to her birthday party a couple months ago. She was hella cute, chocolate skin, slim lil frame that I could work with and a bright ass smile. I've been trying to get at her for the past few weeks but KE and Tiggz always got some shit to say that would make me look dumb, or Jasmine would hurry up and take her somewhere else. They all been playing with me and that shit gets annoying.
"She way out yo league, bro." Tiggz laughed. "You a lil ugly nigga."
"Fuck you, blood." I shook my head.
I don't really know if she was feeling me or not, but I'm gonna at least shoot my shot and see where that takes me.
KE and them threw a pool party out here in Oakland since we ain't have shit else to do. Jasmine was supposed to be coming through too and I told her to bring some of her fine ass friends, hoping she would bring Mamé.
I left Tiggz and KE to go into the pool. Some lil shorty from my old hood soon joined me. Her name was Taja and she was cute, and thick in all the right places. I would fuck with her, but I heard she was a major hoe. I don't like to fuck on broads I've heard a lot about, but I will see what her mouth about.
From the corner of my eye I could see something bright and orange so I took a look. I had to double take because I had only glanced at her. She wore a bright orange two piece that complemented her complexion well and had long black braids that swung side to side when she walked.
"You hear me?" Taja asked as she waved her hand in my face."Huh? What? My fault." I shook my head as I turned towards Taja.
"I wanted to know if you were down to come over....."
I drowned her out and looked back over to Mamé.
I guess Jasmine had spotted me looking and told Mamé to come over to me because she was heading my way.
I looked her up and down and licked my lips as she sat on the edge of the pool, putting only her feet in the pool.
"Hey Yatta." She flashed her million dollar smile.
I turned the opposite way from Taja, and turned to Mamé.
"Wassup" I kept my cool even though so many unholy thoughts were running through my mind.
"So you gon act like we weren't just talking?" Taja tapped on my shoulder.
