Chapter 11-
Kellin's POV:
I stood there. Frozen. Not able to say anything.
Pregnant. She was pregnant. I cheated on the love of my life with her, and she was pregnant.
"You're.....you're pregnant?" I asked.
"Yes. This is why I wanted to talk to you. I'm keeping it." she said.
"What?" I asked.
"When this baby comes, I'm keeping it. No adoption, no abortion, nothing. It's gonna live a normal life." she said.
"Are you sure your pregnant?" I asked.
"Yes, I'm sure." she said. I stood there, sweating like a waterfall, tears in my eyes, about to pass out.
"Kellin, come on! You gotta go." I heard one of the stage crew people shout. I looked at her nervously.
"Stay here." I said.
"Okay." she said. I walked away and on to the stage. What was once a uprising crowd, was now a fuzzy vision to me. I looked at Vic and he smiled and winked at me.
"We got a special song for you guys!" Vic shouted. Everyone screamed and I looked around. I was now horrified. I knew I had to pull myself through the song so I did. It all seemed like a blank to me. The entire song I stared at Vic. I didn't know what I was going to tell him. I didn't know how I was going to do this but I powered through the song.....until it got to the end.
"We are the shadows screaming take us now
we'd rather die than live to rest on the ground
Shit."
After we were done Vic thanked everyone, and I waved and ran off the stage. He ran after me and caught up to me.
"Hey, what's wrong? You seemed really distracted." he said.
"No, I'm fine." I said.
"Kellin, we need to talk." I heard Katelynne say from behind me.
"Not now." I said.
"Who's that?" Vic asked.
"I'm his little one night stand who he knocked up! You need to realize that I want to keep this baby." she said. I looked at Vic who looked at her and then back at me.
"What?" he asked. I saw tears forming in his eyes.
"Vic, please listen to me, I'm so sorry. I didn't do it on purpose, I was drunk, it was the night we fought and I-"
"When the fuck were you planning on telling me this?!" he screamed angrily.
"I don't know. I was going to tell you, trust me I was." I said.
"When? You had sex with someone else! When the fuck were you planning on telling me this Kellin?" he asked.
"I don't know." I said. Tears were now trailing down his face.
"And how long have you known she was pregnant?" he asked.
"I just found out right before I came on stage." I said.
"Oh really? Or is that just another fucking lie?" he asked.
"It's true. He's been ignoring me." Katelynne said. Vic glared at her and then turned back to me.
"Why would you do this? Is it because of what happened in high school?" he asked.
"No, no! Not at all! I wanted to tell you, it was killing me." I said.
"Yeah, it's killing me too." he said. He turned around and walked away angrily. He slammed open the door. I looked at Katelynne and then ran out after him. When I got outside, I saw his car driving away from the stadium. I really wanted to follow him so I got on to the bus, put the key in the ignition, and drove after him.
I had been driving for half an hour when the bus broke down. I looked at the fuel efficiency meter, and saw that it was completely empty. I didn't want to let him get away. I got out of the bus and ran down the street. After another ten minutes, I had no idea where he had gone. I kept walking along the sidewalk but I stopped when I saw his car. It was parked outside of a cemetery.
I walked into it and saw hills and hills of graves. I walked along calling out Vic's name. I yelled for him in all directions. I walked along past the graves. I looked around at all of the names and styles of the graves. Why would Vic come here? I walked along but I stopped when I saw Vic, sitting on his knees with his head down. I walked over to him, standing behind him. I looked down at the name on the grave. The name said Liana Pressman. Vic was sitting down and I could hear him crying.
"Why can't she be here?" he said. I didn't even know he knew I was standing here. "I wish she was still here. I could be touring, living life, and she could be there. She could be living too. I would call her everyday." he said, beginning to cry more.
"Vic..." I said and trailed off.
"Why the fuck do people have to do this?! She's dead! She's fucking dead! I would have given up anything for her. She was my best friend. Why are people such fucking assholes! I hate them all! They could fucking rot in hell!" he said growing angrier. I put my hand on his shoulder and he exploded into more tears.
"Vic, she's so proud of you." I said.
"Can you tell me that you love me? Tell me it was a mistake." he said, turning towards me.
"Yes! It was! I promise. Please Vic. I'm so fucking sorry. I was drunk and it was the biggest mistake of my life. I never meant to hurt you and you don't ever have to speak to me again." I said, beginning to cry. He stared at me for a second and he stood up. I could see the pain in his eyes. It made me want to slit my own throat for causing him that much pain.
"Tell me that you still love me." he said.
"I love you, only you, no one else. I will love you forever. I love you so much that I would give up anything for you. My career, my money, my life, anything." I said. He stared at me for a second. I was going to say something else, but he grabbed me by my neck and he smashed his lips on to mine. I kissed him back. We were both in tears, and we were crying against each others lips. I pulled him into a hug. We were both crying hysterically.
"I miss her so fucking much." he whispered.
"I know. And she would miss you too. She's watching over you." I said.
"Why can't she be here?" he asked.
"I don't know. Life does that sometimes. It really just fucks you over sometimes. But we can make it through. We find ways to do that." I said.
"Please help me make it through this." he whispered.
"I will do that every day for the rest of my life." I said.
"I love you, Kellin. Please don't let anything ever happen to us." he said.
"I won't. And I'm going to prove it to you." I said.
"How?" he asked. I got down on one knee, held his hand in mine and looked up at him.
"Marry me, Vic."
