An hour later...

"Excuse me? Mr. Lynch?" she asked.

"Hmm? Yes, doc?" I asked, a bit groggy.

"She is about to give birth. Do you want to come in?" she smiled.

I nodded and slightly smiled when I walked in. She was sweating a little and her fresh blonde hair rested on her shoulders.

"Hi baby." she grunted.

"Hey baby." I replied.

"Mmm, your baby has the umbelical cord wrapped around his neck so you need to be careful ma'am." the doctor said.

Zoe nodded and shut her eyes. She knew the drill.

She pushed as hard as she could but at the same time she was fragile.

"Argh!" she grunted.

She kept pushing and pushing and pushing until there was one push left.

"Ma'am, your having twins again." the doctor weakly smiled.

Zoe turned red with sadness.

"SIX?" she yelled.

One cry filled the room.

"Ross Shor Lynch ma'am." I said.

She nodded and wrote it down.

"One more push!" I yelled.

The baby came out but it didn't cry. It didn't move.

"Doctor?" I whispered.

She gasped and then sighed.

"What happened?" Zoe asked.

"Ross's twin...passed away." she sighed.

Zoe was on the verge of tears. I pounded my fists on her bed. We both cried and bawled our eyes out.

"I'm so sorry Mr. and Mrs. Lynch. I'm truly sorry." the doctor said, walking out the room.

"OUR BABY DIED ROSS!!" she screamed, crying hysterically.

I hugged her as tight as I could. We have a new baby but our sixth one passed away.

"Let's go home babe." I sniffled.

She cried into my chest. I wrapped my arms around her back and rubbed her back with my thumb.

This was so tragic...

I carried Ross Jr. and Zoe out of the room. There was a silence between us and neither of us spoke until we got home.

"Mommy! Daddy!" Rebecca yelled.

"Becca!" Zoe faked, trying to put a smile on her face.

"Hey Rik. Thanks for babysitting the kids." I sniffled.

"No problem Ross." he smiled.

"Anything new?" Zoe asked.

"Well um..." he said biting his bottom lip.

"What is it Riker?" I said playing with Ross's fingers.

"I'm dating Laura." he smiled for us not to scream.

"YOU WHAT?" I screamed.

"Um yeah." Riker said.

"Oh my God..." Zoe said.

Zoe ran upstairs to our room and all I could hear is a slam of the door...
