- ALEX'S P.O.V -

I woke up to the sound of my alarm. Today was the day I was moving away from here to a new town that I had never even been to before. I was sharing a blow up bed with my sister Lucy because our beds were getting taken to the new house. I woke her up and went into the bathroom to get changed. We were going to be in the car for 3 hours so I put something comfortable on. a pair of grey joggers and one of my old purple hoodies with the number 88 on the front in white. I brushed out my long,  curly hair and put it in a messy bun, brushed my teeth and washed my face. I got out and Lucy was waiting to go in and do the same.

I went downstairs to the kitchen, my mum was cooking some breakfast, my dad was packing some plates and my brother, Luke was sitting at the table half asleep eating a roll and bacon. I walked over to my mum and she handed me a plate filled with a full English. she knows me too well. I sat next to Luke and tucked in to my food, I threw a few sausages under the table to where my great dane, Alfie was sitting. Lucy came running downstairs asking where her phone was, she had left it on the table so I just held it up not saying a word.

I slept most of the journey and woke up as we parked outside the new house, it was a lot nicer than the picture my parents showed me. it was Friday, the last day of the summer holidays and school went back on Monday. I walked up to the old wooden door with a metal '12' on the front and pushed it open slowly. to the left, there was the living room and on the right, a door that lead to the dining room and the kitchen. I didn't bother going in them yet. I just wanted to go to my room. I got given the attic that had been converted into a large room and it was sound proof so I could play my drum kit as loud as I wanted. I found the small staircase that lead me up there. I entered and it was just a plain white empty room with dark wooden flooring there was a window just behind me. I looked out of it, there wasn't much of a view. it was just the side of our new neighbours, directly opposite another window. their house probably had the same lay out as ours. I walked around a bit figuring out where I was going to put things and once I was happy I went back downstairs.

I went into the front garden where the moving truck was unloading all of our furniture and things. I stood and watched. they took out all of the different parts of my drum kit and they sat it on the grass in front of my house, I got Luke to help me take it up to my room. I didn't set it up yet, just left it there until I had all of my furniture in my room. shortly after the moving men brought up my new double bed, my chest of drawers, my book case and my TV. they placed them where I asked them to. I went back downstairs and my dad and I took the boxes of clothes, books, shoes, and other things up to my room. on the last trip I had my semi-acoustic guitar on one shoulder, my electric on the other and my keyboard in my hands. Dad followed me carrying my amp and a bag of all my cables and stuff. when we got into my room, Alfie was already sitting on bed, making himself at home.

after I had set up everything in my room and put everything where it should be I decided to go a walk around the neighbourhood and take Alfie with me. The sun was starting to set even though it was quite late. I loved summer nights. It was only a short walk but I enjoyed it. I came home and went up to my room, but I had nothing to do because we didn't have internet yet so I climbed out the big window above my bed that led out to the roof and sat there. I could watch the sun set.

I knew I was going to like living here a lot more than the last place. I wasn't leaving anything behind, I didn't have any close friends or a boyfriend. school was shit, too. I'm not sure what my 'plan' was for here yet but it was looking optimistic.
