I watched Matthew in awe as he slammed everything he could in the kitchen the next morning. His eyes had dark circles under them and his face was a harsh red color. The muscles on his arm tensed up as he slammed the fridge door, swing milk everywhere as he stomped over to the cabinet.

"Matthew, you're making a mess." I said with a full mouth of lucky charms. I swallowed and wiped my mouth off with my arm. "What's wrong?"

"She's coming over today." He stated, violently eating his cereal with a huge spoon.

"Who?"

"This girl that's my mom's best friend's daughter."

"What's so bad about that?" I asked him, standing up and washing my dishes.

"My mom wants me to date her, her name is Kaylee. And she's so annoying." He rubbed his temples with his fingers.

"She can't be that bad," I said to him as I finished washing my dishes.

"You have no idea, Ellie." He said while groaning.

"Whatever," I paused and chuckled. "I'm gonna go get ready, call me when she's here." I said to him before running out of the back door and sprinting to the guest house.

"Oh my God, Matty!" I literally mentally face Palmed at the high pitched girl jumping into Matthew's arms, Kaylee.

She had jet black hair and brown eyes, she wasn't short and wasn't tall, but her thigh gap was so big I could stick my head through it, not to mention the load of make up on her caked up face. She was so fake.

"Uh, who's this?" She asked Matthew, pointing at me and looking at me up and down like I was a disgusting meal.

Matthew slightly pushed Kaylee away from him, standing beside me. "This is Ellie, she's a friend."

"What's up with your hair? It's in a pony tail and it's.. It's-"

"Red? Yeah, I've noticed. I prefer to be called a ginger, not a red head." I said to her as she smacked her gum loudly. Matthew gave me a high five behind my back and I smiled.

"So, Kaylee, how long are you staying?" Matthew asked her.

"Two days." She replied.

"Great," I mumbled sarcastically. "Matthew, I'm gonna go to the guest house-" I was cut off.

"But Matty! That's my guest house, I'm not sleeping on the couch, my back is gonna hurt!" Kaylee shrieked and crossed her arms pouting like a little girl.

"Well, then I guess you'll have to deal with it because the guest house is Ellie's." Matthew said and I smirked at Kaylee before walking out of the house, it was cloudy and it looked like it was gonna rain.

I changed into sweatpants and a hoodie when I got into the guest house. I laid on the bed and bit my lip, thinking about what I was gonna do for the rest of the time that I would be here. I rolled over on my side and stared at the clock, dozing off to the sound of it ticking.
