Amelia's POV
I was really nervous. I fiddled with my finger as I thought about what would happen in school.
"Hey, you okay there Lia? " Ty asked me, turning to face me before looking back ahead since he was driving.
" Yeah, am fine, just a little nervous though... You know how I feel about meeting new people and all..."
" It's gonna be alright, ok?. They gon love you... Who wouldn't? "
"Aiit, I really hope so" I said, gaining a little courage
"And if they don't... " Ty started and I glared at him "you've always got your good'ol Poppa-T"
"Say who now? " I asked snickering
"Poppa-T" he replied, rolling his eyes
" And who's that? " I asked again. It was getting harder holding my laughter in.
"Me..." Then I bursted out laughing, real hard that my stomach hurt.
"You're...Poppa-T? " I managed to get out. "Whatever " was his brilliant reply while rolling his eyes.
" Well here we are " Ty said, pulling up in the park and unbuckling our seat belts.
"Goodluck Sis " he said, hugging me. "Thanks Ty" I replied sighing.
I picked up my bag from the back seat and got out of the car. I could feel eyes on me the moment I got out, cue the whispers and side talks. Typical, I thought, rolling my eyes.
Ty and I started walking to the entrance and he stopped to greet his friends on the way.
" Tyler my man, how you doing? " one of his friends greeted him, doing the Bro handshake and slap on the back.
"Sup James, how you doing?"
Nice name, I thought
" Am good Bro " James replied.
Ty was greeted by some other people and more handshakes and hugs were given.
"Welcome back Ty, that your new gal?" a guy asked
"shut the fuck up Kyle, that's my sister" Ty said, hitting him on the head
" Sorry man, I didn't know " Kyle said, rubbing his head.
" Well now you know " Ty said glaring at him.
"She's hot though " another guy said, receiving another glare and hit from Ty.
"Don't you dare go near her, your get that? " Ty shouted at them all, he was fuming by then.
" Yeah, we get it" they said, grumbling. I just stood there, not knowing what to do or say. It was as if I wasn't there. Boys, I thought, shaking my head.
" Let's go Lia " Ty said, turning to me.
" Yeah, sure" I replied
"Well that wasn't awkward at all " I said sarcastically when we got inside the school building.
"Yeah, sorry about that " Ty said chuckling
"Well, there's the office, goodluck finding your locker and classes "
"Yeah, thanks " I said knocking at the door.
I got my schedule as well as my locker number and pin and started my search.
I saw a girl around my age and decided to ask her for help cos I knew I might get lost and late if u didn't ask someone on time and that's just a no-no for me.
"Hi" I greeted her, waving shyly
"Oh, hi " she chirped " your the new girl right? "
"Uh, yeah? " I answered, it was more like a question tho
" Wow, your Tyler's sister? Your even more beautiful than they said. Am Alice, nice to meet you " she chirped again, smiling widely. Well, isn't she a goof ball, I thought, smiling back but not as wide.
" Uh, yeah, thanks. Am Amelia but you can call me Lia " I replied
"Ok, cool, then you can call me Ali, only my friends do and you can be my friend too "
" Yeah, sure, thanks "
" So, you need help finding your locker and classes right? "
" Yeah "
"Okay, follow me "
" Okay, thanks " I said, following her.
" What's the number? I mean your locker "
"227"
"Cool, mine's 226, it's nearby "
"Okay, thanks "
" Your really nice, you say thanks a lot too " she said, smiling
"Uh, thanks? " I replied smiling too
" You said it again " she said
Then we bursted out laughing. She showed me my locker and then checked my schedule, turns out we have all classes together. I guess this means I have a friend... I hope.
"I guess this means we are stuck together " she sang happily.
Yup, am soo right, I thought, smiling at her.
