Once everyone was gathered in the room with the odd fireplace, Berlin stayed back, leaning on the wall. Five people were missing; her brother, America, D.C., Paris, and France. Although, she wished someone else had gone missing instead.
"Sorry for the wait," Japan bowed in apology before taking a seat at the large metal table "As you know, I got a text from China saying that you guys had arrived. Italy and Rome were with me at the time and thought it interesting to come. So we came here with Tokyo, Prussia, Germany, and Berlin. After we arrived, there was a loud noise in the kitchen from a broken wine bottle. Tokyo and I decided to investigate. While we did, Italy and the others were attacked by that monster you fought before."
"Good job surviving that." England said, surprisingly unsarcastically.
Rome smiled brightly but she still grabbed Italy's arm like she was scared of something. "Yeah! For better or for worse, that Thing targeted Italy and I but we managed to escape!"
Berlin looked over at the Italian siblings with a confused look, matched by Canada, Quebec, and Tokyo. She cleared her throat "Japan and Tokyo eventually found the rest of us. We didn't know that monsters true nature so we decided to sleep in here. We had a key and got to comfortable... we let our guard down and..."
Everyone knew Berlin was thinking about her brother and wherever he was now, the only person who might've guessed a deeper meaning behind her concern was Italy, but he didn't seem to notice. He walked away from his sister to the fireplace where the fire was slowly dying out.
"That's really weird..." Canada muttered a little louder than he meant to "I mean we..." Quebec nudged him. He blushed sheepishly "I'm sorry, I started thinking out loud. Please continue."
"We ran out of fire wood, can I burn this box?" Italy asked, staring at the box on the floor.
"Good idea. Let's burn anything that can be used as fuel." Germany agreed
Tokyo cleared her throat and everyone turned to look back at her and Japan. "We didn't completely let our guard down. We decided someone should keep watch. Prussia kindly took responsibility... we fell asleep and when we woke up, Prussia was gone. There were bloodstains in the hallway we followed but... the trail eventually ended."
"We didn't want to lose anybody else," Italy said, turning towards everyone. He had black ashes stuck to his curl "so Germany, Berlin, Rome, and I stood watch while Japan and Tokyo went to find you guys."
Japan nodded, smiling softly to Italy "Yes, that's what happened up to now but... I thought America, D.C., Paris, and France would be here. Did they not come?"
"They did." England said, folding his arms but still making small gestures with his hands. "We all came on America and D.C's suggestion and split into two groups."
"We-" London gestured to her brother and China and Beijing "went to check upstairs along with France and Paris. The others stayed and investigated the first."
China leaned against the table nervously "Something about this floor made us uncomfortable so we went to check out the other floors. Paris and France stayed down here. We came back downstairs when we heard America's gun. France was gone and I found Japan and Tokyo's burnt clothes."
"Then found Russia, Moscow, Canada, and Quebec downstairs fighting that... Thing." Beijing finished for him
Japan nodded, taking everything for a moment "Say... I vaguely noticed it but, that strange creature..."
"It resembles America's alien friend, doesn't it?" Germany asked, causing Berlin, Canada, and Quebec to snap their heads up in his direction
"I noticed it too!" China yelled which made Canada look over, mortified "What was his name again?"
